Idea for the "Painkiller" in multiplayer:

Ok, the Painkiller would be sort of a cheap gun in multiplayer, given the speed, accuracy, and range of the killer, not to mention it's laser beam, it wouldn't be a fair gun. But instead of completly removing it, why don't you add it as a melee gun with grapple? My idea is, keep the primary fire of the weapon, which is pretty **** cool, and change the secondary fire to a grapple. If the grapple hit's anyone, have it do 10% damage. But don't let it reattach immediatly, so a player could do 30 damage in half a sec, give the grapple a 3 second reconnect time so trying to use it offensivly is ineffective. Also, if you hold down secondary, it pulls the player up towards the grapple. Neat idea eh? It would make for a faster game because players could use other means than stairs to get to higher levels and there could be backdoors into different parts of a level. Don't let people hang while shooting a different gun. Keep it the same were if they change to a different weapon the hook comes back.

Keep it Quakeish. Give the player a melee and and a shotgun . Doesn't anybody remeber the good ol days of axeing peoples to death? I would hate to have to shotgun people after respawning all the time. I would love to occasionally own someone with the Painkiller. And if I was **** sure someone was almost dead, I would try to grapple them. Everybody would be like: OMG!

Even if you don't like my grapple idea at least let us use the Painkiller's primary and get rid of the secondary function completly. Painkiller locked primary only and then shotgun is a much better idea than just a shotgun in my opion. It even sounds better.
