We have updated the Painkiller FAQs. For any of you who are experiencing problems with Painkiller, please read through the Technical FAQ (http://www.painkillergame.com/content/en/faqs/tech_faqs2.php) for common problems and solutions.
If the FAQ does not resolve your problem, please contact us by filling out the Technical Support Form (http://www.dreamcatchergames.com/dci/forms/tech_support.html).
For general questions regarding the game, please read through the General FAQ (http://www.painkillergame.com/content/en/faqs/faqs2.php).
PLEASE NOTE: Painkiller Update v1.1 will soon be available for download that will address a number of issues.
If anyone is still experiencing difficulties when trying to launch the game, whether receiving the "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc00000142). Click on OK to terminate the application." error or otherwise after having read through the Tech FAQ, please send me your sysinfo file by following these steps:
1) Click Start > Run
2) Type "msinfo32" and click the OK button
3) When the System Information window opens, click File > Save... and save the file in a known location
4) Email this file as an attachment to DCI Technical Support (techsupport@dreamcatchergames.com)
We will then examine the files for any hint of a problem and will advise further on a solution.
