This may seem week but it may work for those of you who can get the game to run once.
1. Save the game right away.
2. In the /Bin directory. save off the Painkiller.exe and the Engine.dll files.
3. Replace them with the versions from the 2nd demo.
4. Run the game as normal but use the save/restore option to load the saved game.
No CD required.
I havent got too far with the game but it seemed to change levels okay. I dont think you can retsart the game but it might tide you over till the patch comes out.
I think it was UT2003 that you could play from the demo exe file after installing the full verson. Also without the CD.
The fixed that in the first patch.
