during the swamp boss fight the game constantly crashes and a dialog box comes up:

It still crashes in the fourth quarter of the
Boss's health with my configuration:

Gigabyte GA-7IXEH motherboard
AMD 1 Ghz Duron CPU (about 1400+ MHz)
512 Mbyte RAM
NVidea based PointOfView Geforce 4 MX440 video card with 64 Mbyte RAM
Directx 9.0c
Windows 98 FE (yes that works contrary to what the box suggests)

The first thing you should try is to update the game to the latest version if you have not done so already.
Download and install the patches in this order: 1.61, 1.62 and 1.64.
Gamer´s Hell has working patches, other websites have possible corrupted versions, so you should use Gamer´s Hell as download resource.

This can also be because of the operating system which is getting a bit old for the newest games, or the outdated DX9.0b, I can not run the game at all without DX9.0c.
