xfire users?

anyone here use xfire? Xfire is a instant messaging service (like ICQ, MSN, AIM) but it keeps statistics for the games you play, and shows the current IPs and stuff for whatever game you're playing. PK isnt supported yet, but i think it will be soon. xfire.com (http://www.xfire.com) for more info

It's seems to be less spammy than GameSpam,..er..Spy. I uninstalled GS due to my security software recognizing it's Aphex as malware.

It may be only a matter of time before Xfire gets to the level of popularity where they are spammy too though.

These services are a lot like small scale p2ps IMO, you're basically using them to share your time with a lot of people you don't know, so be carefull what you share with them.;)

PK is supported now. I get ingame chat and notices, perhaps not for everyone, but definitely for people that I have an individual chat window open for prior to starting the game.

And I thought I was the only one that played that much! Unfortunately, PK time and BooH time are calculated separately (note my sig), not combined. A few more hours though, and I'll surpass my PK time with BooH time!

Xfire shows me 1 Installation, does it count both?
2.) Where can i ad manualy the Games if its not shown?

oh and btw,...if its a non "pk++ cr@p server" i join every game using the "join game" option in painkiller,..even if its pk++ you still can join just not usin pk++

Xfire counts total game time. It will count PK and BooH as separate games. Other than that, it doesn't care.

2) tools, find installed software. Nothing like a menu bar...

To dissable U games/friends beeing shown to everyone viewing U profile go to:

/Extra/Options/Protect privacy (my xfire is german, my translation might suck) and dissable all in /Protect privacy.

I'm on xfire, but rarely use it. Think my most played game is spider solitaire according to xfire LOL and it's probably still under 1hr total :p

it should be => Tools/Options/Privacy.
to switch your language => Tools/Protect/General
or: Extras/Optionen/Allgemein (if you use it in German and want to switch to English :) )

btw, PeTjA - your sig is kind of useless if you set it like that :)
