Hi all
It seems that the setup program is unable to read from CD 2.
I have no problems copying the contents of the discs anywhere on my harddisk, so i think it is not my DVD ROM (ASUS DVD Rom-E616). I also ran setup from my cd burner (HP CD-Writer 9100) as well over the network from an noname 48x cd drive, as well on my other pc locally. All with and without the install/cd fix. It's allways the same: Setup runs and after it prompts me to insert disc 2, the dialog where i have to choose the location of disc 2 won't disappear, no matter how many times i klick on OK. I wanted the devs to know this, because i searched the whole board several times and did not find this problem already listed exactly as it appears in my case. I tried out all the great suggestions of this board (i formatted my system and reinstalled windows too) with no success.
I hope they will find a way for us all, to play this great game.
System Specs:
Mainboard: MSI 845E MAX2
CPU: Intel Pentium 4, 2,4 GHz
RAM: 1024 MB Corsair XMS
Harddisk: Maxtor 160 GB
Graphics: ASUS V9950, GeForceFX 5900 Ultra, 256 MB
DVD Rom: ASUS DVD Rom-E616
CD Burner: HP CD-Writer 9100
Sound: SBLive PLayer 5.1
OS: Windows 2000, SP4 and all windows updates
All drivers inkl. chipset, bios and DX9 are newest versions.
No CD/DVD emulators installed, no overclocking.
