BOOH sucks!!! You need the power of a server to play the D*** thing. I have a Gigabyte GA-7N400 Pro 2 Rev 2 MoBo, Athlon XP 2400+ 266Mz FSB, Nvida FX5200 250Mb, and 512 DDR PC2100 system RAM all running on Windows XP Pro SP2. I ran DOOM 3, no problem, PK 1, no problem, Unreal 2 Halo, Thief 1, 2, & 3 and the list goes on!!!!! ALL WITH NO PROBLEMS. Now with PK BOOH, I've turn down every graphic option just to play this GAME. If I wanted to play a game at this graphical level, I would play Pac-Man. I don't know what you were trying to prove, but I hate to tell ya, you screwed up. Doom 3, Halo, and Unreal puts your graphics to shame, and guess what, they play on the average machine. PK BOOH is the second and the last Dreamcatcher purchase I will ever make.

Also, a game's expansion pack should not have to be run a better machine than the original game. Expansion packs usually just include more material of the original game while adding new items, weapons, vehicles, and so on... But do not make an expansion so that you have to buy a new machine or new parts just to play an upgrade to a game that runs just fine already on that person's machine.

People can Fly added some new effects to the expansion which aren't handled very well by some cards. I suggest you to turn the bloom effect off, same with character shadows and other advanced options.

Not being funny but your system specs are kinda old by todays standards.
If you like painkiller i would suggest upgrading you graphics cards. As cheap as a mid-ranged graphics card is today.I find it hard to believe that you played some of them games you have listed well, especially THEIF 3.
Just my observation from reading what you posted, good luck.

Disable the high weapon detail, that one slows down your game like the 6Million dollar Man!
