i have mcafee antivirus and mcafee firewall.....all i do is disable my anti virus and it runs fine....whewwwww

...was keeping me from receiving some downloads, and even logging on completely to some websites. It was very frustrating to get almost to the end of a large file download, only to find the connection had been suddenly terminated.
I found out there is a beta update to correct the problem, until their next full update is done, and that has solved the issue.
Not having it running while gaming offline is one thing, but if you have to do this while gaming online, or doing anything else online, I would contact McAffee to see if there is a better solution. You shouldn't have to be left vulnerable just because of a programming flaw.
Avast is, for the most part, a very well integrated and non intrusive program, this is the first time in quite a while I've had any issues with it, and they stepped up and solved it immediately. They have their own forum and respond on it regularly to both free version and pro customers.
