...a voice from the darkness.....
I ordered the stuff (PainKiller Gold (http://store.dreamcatcherinteractive.com//item.jsp?item=PCO45150MB)) yesterday, directly from DC: its status was "Add To Cart" (instead of "Pre Order") for a while (for a few days). But They haven't replied back yet... I wonder if the MECH-video and the XBOX-trailer are on the DVD or not? Because I didn't find them in the description whilst I found them in the description of the Black Edition... I'm a bit worrying about that...

The press release (http://www.bluesnews.com/cgi-bin/board.pl?action=viewthread&threadid=56099) Blue's News quotes mentions the music video (http://webdevelopment.waw.pl/piotr/mech_-_painkiller.mpg).
It also refers to CD-ROM! Most people who play PC games have a goddamn DVD-ROM drive (see here (http://www.steampowered.com/status/survey.html). It was supposed (http://www.dreamcatchergames.com/dci/press/releases/pdf/DreamCatcher_Games_announces_PainkillerGoldEdition .pdf) to be on DVD.
Also, this is the first I've heard of a Penny Arcade! poster. I love Penny Arade! (http://www.penny-arcade.com/).
...a voice from the darkness.....
I have a Friend in Greece (from TRC-Forum), who bought the Black Edition recently, and She said that it's a DVD. And then the Gold-edition isn't...? * confused * It's just too much datas: PK+BOOH together - that should be on a DVD-disc. And the Black Edition contains the MECH-video..maybe in MPEG2-format(?). That would be great if the Gold-edition also contained it in MPEG2-quality...
Have You ordered it too? If You get it earlier, please tell us about what's in the box, OK? * thumbs up * Thanks! :)
LOL, I also haven't heard about Penny Arcade yet... :D

Right, but Gold Edition is for the North American market so who knows. They didn't even have the balls to call it Black Edition here. Publishers seem unwilling to release games on DVD here. Sucks.
From looking at the scripts its clear the videos in Black Edition were in Bink format same as the cutscenes. Gold Edition will probably be the same.
The PA comic has been online (http://www.painkillergame.com/media/pennystrip/) for a while but this is the first I've heard about a poster included in the box. I read PA fairly regularly. Maybe I haven't been paying attention.
I don't generally pre-order games but I'll certainly post if I find out anything.

Ah, I see. Thanks for the link, I was wrong about PA then: I have the comic strip already, and even the wallpaper. But I forget that they were made by Penny Arcade, silly me. * ooops * We'll see the poster then later, I'm so curious about that... :)
Yeah, I'm afraid that there will be some serious differences between the Gold and the Black editions, and not just in their designs...
