X-Play Previews Dungeon Lords

For those that don't or didn't watch X-Play tonight, they had a preview of Dungeon Lords, and over all it was a pretty positive review, done by the wonderfully hot, smart, Morgan Webb. They or she, whoever actually writes the reviews thought that the character creation system was intuitive (sp), the monsters were original, and that's all I can remember off the top of my head, and even though they were only previewing, overall they sounded happy with what they saw.

I have come to trust their judgement of games for the most part. They gave Gothic 2 a 4 out of 5, as they did for Hordes of the Underdark. They gave 5 out of 5's to such games as Half-Life 2 and KOTOR, so they have good taste. I think this is a good sign and will generate lots of positive press for Dungeon Lords.

TechTV was removed from Australian television as a result of the merger with G4. God I miss X-play...

oh, it wasn't a merger, it was a buyout or take over, they just kept the tech tv part of the name to keep the tech tv fans, and then dropped it after a while, or they had always planned to drop it, who knows...but i am sorry you missed the review, it was a pretty positive one over all, as i said..

Not just removed, replaced with a whole channel full of 9 year old re-runs. -_-

The X-Play folk do seem to do good work, so them giving it the thumbs up is probably a good sign. Did the footage they ran look like it was from the demo we've got, clips that have been released or did they have some new bits?

Yes, it was positive over all, except that they bashed the dungeon crawler genre saying that there are to many. Maybe on the console but this is a PC game and there hasn’t been allot of anything like this over the past few years. They compared it as a Diablo meets Ultima meets Half-Life 2. That’s pretty impressive to me

The build they used looked fantastic. Can't wait:)

They had a more complete game then we did, they were using a dwarf at some point, making him run around in his shorts..i saw a lot from the sewers, uh i think a small snake was attacking, they were messing with nether magic, summoning rats and lots of undead..they were using a big freaking axe..i mean this thing was huge!..this was last night so i don't remember much else..the review may be on the website, or the preview, it may air again today..i mean it was only a preview, but it sounded like overall they liked what they saw..Morgan Webb is apparently a big rpg fan, well maybe not big, but she likes em..so i was surprised to here that she was tired of playing them
