Missing Gold

Okay, Lads and lasses, I have finished Stone pit and found all the secrets but am missing some gold. What have I overlooked!

Are you talking about gold or holy items? Because it's hard to get all the gold. Every barrel that explodes, every object that breaks has some gold in it, and often you miss some of the coins in mid-battle. Also, sometimes some coins fall behind other objects or "out of the level" so you can't reach them anymore.

Your right of course, I meant Holy Items. Excuse I am old remember! LOL

Hehe... how many items are you missing? If you got all secrets (and if you picked up the sometimes hard to get third holy item on top of the statue at the end), then you should be missing one item. Unfortunately, that one is located outside the level boundaries, there's no way to get it.

You've got two possibilites: open the level in PainEd (the editor that comes with Painkiller), locate the holy item that is out of place and move it back to some place within the level. Or... download and install Powermad 3.62 (you need PK/BOOH version 3.62+ for that). You can get this mod from my site http://www.kalme.de/painkiller. It also contains a fix that moves this holy item back into place.

For both solutions, you have to replay the level from the beginning. Loading an in-game save unfortunately does not work.

You know what? Here's the third solution. Download the attached file and unzip it into the following folder:

[Painkiller]/Data/Levels

After that, it should look something like that:

[Painkiller]/Data/Levels/C6L9_Mine/CItem/...

Start Painkiller, load up a savegame, restart that level from the beginning (unfortunately still necessary), done.

Well I finished playing and beat The big guy so it is not that important but I was more curious then anything since I spent several hours searching every nook and crany and started to think it was a glitch in the game. As for the Statue is the 3rd h item in his mouth or on top of his head the mouth I got!

PS : I is missing 2 holy items and I just went back and checked the statue including the top of his bald head!

...played thru it, then I got lucky and the third one behind the statue head (3 of them back there) showed up.

Powermad's fixes do fix it, as well as the one out of the map as mentioned, so you don't have to count on luck for it to be there.

With the PM fix, you'll see two in the left spot behind the statue head (as your facing it) and one on the right. The middle spot is bad, and the one that's supposed to be there falls down sometimes.

The one out of the map will be placed in the Uber stash, where the megahealth, and lots of Holys and ammo are. It will be located up on the wooden structure that the one which is not part of the ground stash is on.

I am now replaying it and have found the 2 where once there was one.
So far have 7 secrets and 12 Holys. It is now 02:55 hrs so maybe I should go dream about witches and nurses ! HEH HEH!

Well I have finished PainKiller for now and will move onto Punisher and then give the other 6 games I have waiting for me. With the money I spend on games I am surprised I still have a wife. Again thanks for all your help

...know what's most important to you. That and not getting so "immersed" that you forget important dates makes a lot of difference.

Believe me, if she agrees on the sys price, there are hobbies that get MUCH more expensive than the games themselves.

I'm just glad I live fairly close to some EB stores that sell them used and take trade ins, although I've never traded one in, guess I'm too attached to them.:D
