Anyone that has read any of my past post know that i have been very critical of this game. I would say I was down right truthful, but regardless, I would like to take the time to say something positive.

First of all I am assuming the delay is because they are working on the game and not because of some foul up in the distribution of the game (ie packaging or burning of the cds).

If it is for the former than I would have to give the developers credit. It's hard enough getting a publishing deal, but even harder to allow for extended time.

Although I still have to wonder a little bit, I mean they are only delaying the game a month? I would have asked for like 3 months. 1 month fan features, 1 month testing, 1 month fixing bugs.

i dont know but i would think that every day this game is not on the shelfs it it probly loosing money and that is probly why its only one and not three.
i dont think the packaging and sending it out the door would take a whole month?

this would probably be true, if programmer were unionized... :)

i'm sure, if they could, HP would keep working on it till they were completely happy with it. however, the programmers and designers usually have no say in the matter. it's the publisher who sets the date and that's what they have to conform to, no matter the state. so it becomes a matter of what they can do in the allotted time.

:(

Where is the positive part? I assume you are saying the delay is a good thing, but then why would you immediately follow up with the fact that the delay isn't enough of a delay.

As for the time frame you are requesting, you have to relize that they've accomplished a lot since the demo was released. We only have a vague idea of how much else needs fixing before release, they may not need a month for bug fixing. Also, a month for fan features, well a year would not be enough for all the features fans want:) As for testing, they've been doing that for a while. They had a seperate beta test going, and it may still be going. They test themselves as well. Something people are going to have to come to terms with, and that's that no matter how much they test, they are going to release a game and someone, a few someones even, are going to encounter bugs, bugs that are going to be caused by software that they couldn't test with. They can catch as many bugs upon release as they can, but a month or three months, and they still may never find them until after release. Console game designers have the very valuable asset of knowing exactly the hardware and software that their games will be played on, and so they can accurately and more easily test their games. So in that lite console gamers have a right to expect a bug free game. Computer gamers on the other hand, should only expect a relatively bug free game. It sucks, but those bugs can be fixed.

Ok, I ranted, and I am sorry, but I feel right now it needs to be said. Getting back to your post, you have a funny way of being positive about something. Instead of just saying. They have delayed it, that's a good thing, I'm very glad to hear it. You said something along the lines of. They delayed it, but will it be enought. They should really do more. Notice I said along those lines, not exactly that. Please keep that in mind when and if you decide to respond.
