I think the unknown race is the Gourk, or something similar renamed. I see a similarity between the 'unknown' in Dungeon Lords, and the Gourk from Wizards and Warriors.

If only they would ship the game with the editor and some other tools (whatever they're using) and then somebody could mod a Vampire race. :D

yeah but i'd rather play one from the developers game not fan made or user made , the only game i can think of that has a vampire character is sacred shes female i think human in the day vampire at night i never played her though because i wanted to play as a male vampire.

Maybe if They ever make a dungeon lords sequel they could add a vampire race that be awesome and a werewolf :)

Only other game I can think of that you can play as a Vampire is Morrowind, tho you have to go find a Vampire and get bitten. ;)

I agree, it would be best if they had a Vampire race in DL instead of having to wait for a mod.

Daggerfall also allowed you to become a vampire. I believe it was the first Elder Scrolls game to do so as I don't recall vampirism in Arena. And of course there's the original Legacy of Kain which was an action RPG that cast you as a vampire.

I never finished it as theres one boss that I didn't get by yet....

you can become a vampire in morrowind? Yep and theres a whole bunch of quests and whatnot just for Vampires (never played as one myself) and if you have the Bloodmoon expansion you can become a Werewolf. ;)

That is is, it matches perfectly, where did you find it??

Thats definitely it, a perfect match..

Dissapointing though, its pretty much 'just another Urgoth'.. hopefully theres some kind of story or personality to back it up...

I would say it's an orc, and not just another Urgoth, however that still doesn't make it as cool as they made it sound it might be. I was hoping for a half dragon or something. Of course maybe, just maybe, they just used that outline as a place holder, but it's not the actual outline of the race in quest. Very unlikely, but possible still.

And an Urgoth isnt "just another Orc" ?

Personally I was hoping for more of a "Demon" kind of character...

I found it on some german gaming website and could never find it again because I didn't save the URL. Sorry.

Urgoths are beast race, more like a half wolf man or something, while orcs are humanoids, but not like any beast or human..but it does seem that urgoths and orcs are just to more races that would be used as tanks..and i too wish to see something unique..demonic, half demonic, half dragon, vampiric, half troll, a child of both a god and a human...of course we don't know the stats and special abilities of this creature, and even though the outline and the creature in the link match perfectly, that doesn't mean that's the new race, they could have used any random outline that doesn't actually fit the creature so people wouldn't be able to guess what the race is. i will wait until the race if revealed on the site.

Uhhh... Last I checked, the Urgoth was a half-beast humanoid, so is the Orc. The Urgoth is no-where near wolf, Ape perhaps but not wolf. Regardless the 2 races are both humanoid/beast with different texture skin, both are brutish and strong, both are generally 'ugly', both look mentally challenged.

That's why it's been kept a secret... to hush all the complaints while we were beta testing the demo. (( Just Teasing )) ;)

There are some creatures on this planet that fit that rather general description, including a number of humans. With that level of generalization orangutans and gorillas would be considered the same thing.

come on guys, we determined/agreed that it was a mad badger before the Cataclysmic Wiping of the Forum back in 5 BD (Before Demo) that destroyed many ancient threads of wisdom.

lest we must repeat the torrid tale for all the young'ins.

Before anyone jumps on this, please understand it was meant to be more tongue in cheek than serious ;).

Oh, so just because the new race is green and orc like, you automatically assume it's mentally challenged..and for that matter urgoths are only as mentally challenged as you let them be..tisk tisk tisk:) Yeah i know they are both beast, and I only said wolf because I remember another person referring to them as such..and they don't look anymore ape like then wolf like, but considering they are a fantasy creature, they are probably not supposed to be like any creature, so we are both wrong, you just more so;) lol

remember though, that thralls looks like something you don't want to run into in a dark forest or ally, but according to the description, if you did, you could kill them, loot them, and fee them to your pet war troll:) (yeah, that's not the exact description, but it gets the point across)

YouŽll find the Artwork of the already shown 8. race on the japanese Dungeon Lords Homepage ;)

So i guess this is it definatly.

yeah, i guess so, though that still looks like art concept for an older game, and isn't an in game shot of the unknown, but the evidence certainly points to that being the unknown.

also, the lizard in the middle, which is supposed to represent the not so intelligent lizard race i assume, looks very dragon like..like the dragon race from wizards and warriors. am i wrong? it doesn't look like the picture on the english site.
