That would take a good ammount of time. Modelling is quite a hard task. And it takes a few months to produce a good level worth downloading.

I have actually edited the Loony Park level of BOOH. It can be found at:

http://www.hall-of-pain-666.de.vu/

I just thought there was some great scenery in that level that was never used. Now, the rollercoaster is no longer the focus of the level, but the climax. You'll see what I mean.
I would actually like to get a new update of it up there (there's a horrendous bug in the new shooting gallery), but I can't get hold of Varus. Ah, well.

By the way, if you're asking whether or not a level could actually be created, the whole scenery and everything, I'm afraid not without a special piece of software that costs around $200, at cheapest. I just modified the placement of objects.

Varus is working on a new singleplayer level at the moment. You can see some early screenshots at http://www.darkscorner.de (German, but no problem: navigate to "Paincorner" and then "Hills screenshots" in the right menu).

Edit: You may also take a look here:

Mr.Q imo made some great improvements to the original Leningrad level. No new level though...

@DashW: I've sent him a note, if you still have problems contacting him, sent the update to me, I will forward it.

All together, you -have- to have maya to make levels for Painkiller.

If you didn't need Maya, and Painkiller had a UnrealEd type editor, where you can make your basic landscape/terrain, then add static-meshes, maybe there would be tons of levels out there, who knows... Tens, hundreds, thousands...

As for modeling... Modeling a simple object can be easy once you get a hang of it. Modeling a character, in which you texture, animate, and fully add the rest of the features can be tough, and will take first a lot of practice and learning at the basics to the advance of the modeling software that you are using.

If you're lost, there's always plenty of tutorials out there just waiting to help you out.

That's not true. You can use any 3D modeler as long as it exports ASE files. For example, there are ASE-plugins for Blender 3D (http://www.blender3d.com), which means you could make levels for Painkiller without the need to pay for a 3D modeler (because Blender 3D is open-source and free).

Really? I didn't notice that.
My worry is that exporting an .ASE into painkiller will turn out untextured...

I'm still here my friend :) Call me...

To the second: There is a free software that allow you to make those things called: GtkRadiant-1.5.0-2005-01-16

Nope...(my level is with textures... ;) :D - you can look at...)
like Kalme said before:
http://www.darkscorner.de/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=65&Itemid=82

really: ASE exporter export ALL - the complete coordinates of polygones, textures, UVW and so on. BUT you have to use after this the compiler of PK to get a mpk-file at the end.

AND > models is inpossible because PK use his own PKmdl-file format and there isn't a compiler for.

Here's a picture of a very, very, very small level (hehe) I made with Blender3D five minutes ago. Exported to ASE and then converted to MPK (Painkiller format).

Not so bad for the second time I started this application, eh? :D

Hey!...that's right!...
I'd say 256x256 mm is the size of your level...
(When can I test it... ;) :D )

 Oh...there was a horrible monster? Because you shot twice ! :D

_EDIT_...only once...therefore not soooooo horrible than I thought

What I could never understand was how to add textures using Blender.

Yea I could understand that it would take a long time but with all the talented people on this forum, i think its possible to create a entire new level for everyone on here. I'd have the music part covered lol.

Luigi,

take a look at the blender site if you're interested. They even have some excellent free video tutorials there (http://blender3d.org/cms/Tutorials.243.0.html), including texturing and texture mapping.
