Painkiller problem

I've installed painkiller but the game won't run.

I've tried all the patches no succes.

With patch 1.61 the game runs in slow motion.

With patch 1.35 i can't kill the boss in level 2. etc etc.

My pc 2.5 cpu
1024 ram
geforce 2

no , its inpossible even with the cd-rom fix.

The game runs with patch 1.35 but you can't kill the end boss in level 2.

...be a record for the oldest card tried for this game, although I certainly haven't been around here all that long.

Modern times and high tech, that's progress you know, the stuff that's hard to afford.:(

Try it on 640 with lowest settings at all. (This is the oldest card I've ever heard about here)

I don't think that your card is made for DirectX9b (PK) or 9c (BooH and patch above 1.5) - it was a card for DirectX8.1 ?

Painkiller need 9b !!!

Get a new card. The GeForce 2 is horribly old and it's the reason of why your game runs so slow.
Other than that the rest of your specs are good.

Painkiller 1.0 ran quite good with 64 Mb Geforce 2. But man, 1.61? I´m surprised it runs at all.

Get a new video card and all your problems will be solved. :)
9800 Pro with 256 Mbs of fast video memory or GeforceFX 5900 with same memory should give you nice FPS if you lower dynamic lighting and other shader 3.0 stuff.

...used, you're not buying that many before you get to the price of a good video card anyway.

Do your eyes a favor and treat yourself to the card, even if it means not buying any games for a while. I think you'll find PK/BOoH can keep you entertained for some time anyway.;)
