...new to the boards here... :o

As someone who preordered on Amazon.com, yes, I'm bummed because the release has been delayed, but given my horrbile experience with the recent travesty of *cough* *cough* kotor 2 *cough* I welcome a small delay that will improve gameplay.

After having played the demo (flaws and all) I am REALLY looking forward to getting my hands on DL. It's exactly what I was hoping for and expecting from Bradley and the Team...and that's saying a lot becasue I'm an old-school RPG'er and I had pretty high expectations.

I even get a pleasant kick too out of all the blatant rip-offs from Wizards & Warriors (from the typeface to using the same audio for the bat screeches!). I may be in a minority, but I feel like W&W is the single most underrated RPG of all time... I played it 3 times through. It's been a LOOOOONG time coming, but DL looks like a very worthy successor.

So...I've waited this long, I'll deal with a few more weeks.

Thanks for the tip on those pics. It took me a bit to hunt it down but I found it here:

Those graphics are clearl better than the demo.

I just hope Dreamcatcher/Heuristic provides a lot of support and updates during the first several months. I always like to feel like even solid games are still getting polish and attention during their initial stages.

based on the info exchange i've seen between the dev's and the 'demo' (through the Chuk [their lead artist i believe?] medium) i have no doubts that what's coming out in a few weeks will be much much better then the demo, and even then, they'll be continuing to work on it after the fact.

no worries here, i'm really looking forward to this game like i haven't in quite a while.

It will be good, seeing how the developers are concerned about it, I have no doubts this game will rock.

Thanks for letting me know that. To me, that's almost more important than a perfect game or good iniital reviews. I'm learning that if the developers are invested in it and communicating with us players, in the end the final product will be top notch.

Not to sound like a broken record player, but on the other side I look at the way companies like LucasArts handles things: zero communication, zero respect for their customers, and "bare minimum" support. Games are still, in the end, software, and without support--well--software just plain sucks. ;)

Hoorah for the Dungeon Lords team!
