View Full Version : uninstaling the demo

I can't figure out how to remove the demo. It doesn't show up in the add/remove programs window, theres no entry for the game in the start menu and there isn't any uninstall program in the games menu. Did they actually release a demo that can't be uninstalled? That would be really irritating.

No registry entries are made for the Demo. If you wish to remove the Demo all you need to do is delete the folder containing the files.

Yes, unusual but true. they just slap an alpha demo into an installer. They weren't really ready to release a demo but were TOLD to so.... At least that is the feeling I get from it. Just simply delete the folder. :D

Unfortunately that may not be true. Doing a quick search of the registry finds a WinRAR SFX entry under software with references to the file locations.
There are other refernces as well. Not being a registry savy person, I don't know if these are references of concern or usage based. But I'd prefer to know before I just yanked these files out.
It could be that WinRAR is placing these marker in the registry for it's own use like in a recent history list or something.
