View Full Version : Game crash whenever 'C' is pressed

Right now I am running the demo. The game seems to run just fine until I enter the sewers, then it is only a little while before my save game gets corrupted, so that if I press the 'C' button (to view my character) then it crashes.

Once one save game is corrupted, I cannot open any of the other save games without them having the same problem. If I delete the save game that originally has the problem, the others seem to work just fine.

I have tried reinstalling, without success. I have also downloaded another copy of the demo from an alternate site, and then reinstalled. Still no luck.

If this is a problem with the demo, then fine, but it seems that others have made it past the sewer beginning from looking at the posts on the forums. Needless to say, I am a little wary of buying the full release if I cannot run it on my system.

Anyone out there experience the same thing? Do you know of a fix?

you should delete the last one or two savegames. it's a bug of the demo i think. i had this bug also, but when i delete the last savegames then pressing the C key doesn't crashed the game....

Had the same problem. I uninstalled the demo redownloaded (and reinstalled it in a different dir). Since that I havent had any problems.

Your post doesnt say weather you uninstalled it before reinstalling. If you didnt then try, else I dont think I will be of much help to you.

Btw - wellcome to the forum :).

Thanks for the welcome ;-)

I did in fact uninstall before reinstalling. I did not try using a different directory though, I will uninstall and reinstall in a new spot and see if that helps.

Also, I have deleted the last save game before, however that seems to only fix the problem for a couple minutes :-(

Thanks for the suggestions. Anyone else? The more tips the merrier.
