AND DUNGEON LORDS GOES GOLD!!! Finally, I hope it wasn't rushed out the door. I hope the delay was for a few last minute things. Doesn't matter, now my only concern is having the money to buy it next freaking week!!

no right handed models i guess :/

That remains to be seen, Chuk stated that 'he saw one of the developers playing right handed', so we know it was being worked on.. we just dont know whether or not it was completed.

Theres always the possibility of a patch..

No right-handed models does not make an incomplete game.

Good to see it's gone gold at last. :) Hope the international release isn't too far behind US/UK dates.

I hope it's not a disaster. I'll wait and see what the buzz is before I buy it.

I always recommend people with any reservation to wait and see ... I already consider the money spent, enjoyed the demo, and will give it a try.

I will report honestly on what I see and think as I play. I like the stuff I like, and am no fanboy of anything ... I'm not one of those people who gave HL2 a pass on the same flaws they chewed other games apart about ...

Same here. Going to pick up the game on release and give it an honest critique, based on likes/dislikes. For example, though I found it possible to enjoy the demo, my initial impression was one of supreme frustration and disappointment.

However, nearly all of my initial misgivings have (apparently) been fixed since the demo was released... but I'll believe it when I see it. I still don't like the real-time combat engine (prefer something pausable along the lines of Kotor), but I was able to play past that in the demo and found it enjoyable.

I guess until I have it in my hands I'm willing to give Heuristic the benefit of the doubt on this one... and keep my fingers crossed. ;)

I'd hoped I could pick this up today since I'd have a chance to play it, but EB is now telling me they won't have it until the 6th.. :(

Yeah, really doesn't make sense now that we know the game went gold last week.

Of course the same thing happened to VTM:Bloodlines, if I recall.

Yeah, really doesn't make sense now that we know the game went gold last week.Since the delay past April 20th, DC & HP have apparently been day-to-day (or close to it) on status towards release, which has got to play havoc with game shops. Generally it is ship Tuesday, in-store Wednesday ... they apparently couldn't get packaging done fast enough for that.
Of course the same thing happened to VTM:Bloodlines, if I recall. What happened to Bloodlines was delays due to HL2, which it wasn't allowed to beat to market.

yes I had to wait forever to get that game as well. I sure wish the game companies would be more clear about the release dates. The store keeps blaming the game company for giving them the wrong date when I complain and I cant seem to get an answer from the game company. When you try doing a search online for release dates you can find about 10 different ones.
I keep telling the store that I am not pissed because they havent got the game, but rather because they promise it on a certain date when they actually have no idea when they will get it LOL.

Yes EB is really bad about that. I wish they'd learn the term TBA and use that on website and in stores. Their website list has to have a date, they should make it allow TBA in that field and those fall at end of list. OH Well...

Here's some high level math for you:
- Game Release: TBA = no preorders
- Game Release: conservative estimate = few preorders
- Game Release: Same as everyone = some preorders
- Game Release: agressive estimate (or guess) = most preorders

Preorders have the greatest likelihood of translation into actual sales ... so they try to maximize them in any way possible, and blame the publisher when it doesn't work out.

It'd only be TBA until the date was announced :D, which should be several months before release. Yes that date could change but I see them put games that the developers have no clue when they'll be out even year wise on their sight and just push back the date every so often

whether I preorder ti two years before it is released or one month doesn't matter to their sales any, or even if I wait two days after it is released. most people taht buy from one place will buy it from them no matter what, I only have one computer shop in town so if I was to buy local does it matter if they tell me it'll be out tomorrow fro a year or if they say the date has not been announced? Even if there were two local game shops in town would I choose the one that keeps lying to me over the one that is honest? High Math? Ok whatever...
