Hi there,
I'm missing 1 object in the Leningrad level. I just can't find it.
I even tried with the pmradar...
Can somebody help?
thanks

...at the time, not all those that are written into the game script. Many levels are inconsistent in how many objects show up, and the stats for monsters can be a problem that way too.
But, just in case you weren't close enough to the object for PM rad to see it, did you check the first area where the guys were trying to snipe you from on top of the rubble just before the area with the 2nd and 3rd tanks? There's 2 barrels up there. There are also 2 or 3 barrels in the windows the guys shoot down at you from as well that are hard to see, although if you used rockets at those guys they're probably already destroyed.

So, you mean to say, that I might be just unlucky... and have to try again hoping for all the objects to be there?
I must admit missing some barrels in the Dead City level's carpark (going up) behind the two cars in the corner (there also a holy item there).
Maybe it's even a Black Edition "feature", I might reinstall PK+BOOH and test this. I've got the funny feeling that the Black/Gold Edition is not exactly the same as the originals...
And, thanks for the quick reply :)

Did you find any of them there. Some far off objects behind more than 1 wall will not show, you also of course have to be facing the correct way to see them.

Yes, I did go all the way back, using pmradar in that area as well. AND putting lots of grenades through those windows ;) I also know about the barrels in the ruins bit over there, can't imagine I missed those. But then again, I guess pmradar would have shown them.

...the PM radar surely would have shown them.
BTW, which patch version are you using and where did you DL them from?
If your system can run the latest patches fine, I highly recommend getting 1.61, 1.62, and 1.64 from gamershell, and installing them over the BOoH 1.5, or the original PK.
1.64 has been a solid performer, reguarding a lack of bugs, except for the few common ones that were never corrected by the developers.

I'm running 1.64, but patched from Black Edition which is 1.6.
I am sure 1.61 is from gamershell, not shure about thge other though.
It seems patching Black Edition (1.6) or patching PK/Booh (1.5) does not have the same outcome...
e.g. patching 1.6 -> 1.61 Painkillaaah intro sound gone :(
patching 1.5 -> 1.61 no probs...
When I'm finished with Booh Trauma, I will reinstall PK/Booh 1.5 and patch that one and specifically test on the objects :)

Well, I finished Trauma (nice extra feature after that b.t.w.). Then I though, ok, lets try Leningrad again, and to my surprise all my weapons were gone!? So I had to redo the weapons levels to get them back.
Then I rerun Leningrad with the pmradarobjects, making sure I got all of them and hooray I've got them :) I must have overlooked one of thembefore then, not really sure which one...
...a voice from the darkness.....
Details about the whole object-maddness...
Unfortuntely, the "Objects Destroyed"-line is the only one, what actually never can be trusted... :( You never can be sure about You destroyed really everything, even if You get the star for that value. Several issues may happen with that line's value and with the objects, during playing a level. Let's see some of them...
1. Disappearing objects: This is when an object falls through the ground and then out of the level-map. That object won't be destroyed, and it can't be destroyed anymore. It's a fairly rare bug, although I think, it happens just too much. It can happen when for example some enemies are pushing an object while they are attacking Daniel, and they somehow toss it into the ground. I can tell You two more examples from "City On Water" and "Military Base".
- City On Water: if You push a barrel into the water, then that will be lost...
- Military Base: try rolling some barrels (the empty ones, that's easier, just use PK's blades), and You'll surely experience that many of them will fall through the ground sooner or later...
If You go for 5-Stars and You can't find only one or two objects even after hours of precise searching, then maybe You've met with this bug (You still can't be sure though: sometimes objects can hide very well)... I don't know how PM's radar shows these lost objects, but maybe it doesn't show them at all, or it shows as they are completely "out of the level"...
2. The "stake/bolt bug": This happens when You blow up some exact things with stakes or bolts or when You shoot stakes into an exact thing, and so on. Further back, there were many variants of that bug, but many of them got fixed..however some of them still work fine...
- One case is "Dead City" from BOOH: if You blow up cars with stakes or bolts, the program will increase the "Objects Destroyed"-value. But normally, it doesn't count cars as destroyable objects (what is fully illogical anyway), so if You blow up cars with the Shotgun for example, then the "Objects Destroyed" won't increase...
- Another case is from "Loony Park": if You shoot stakes into the "rollercoaster-car", the program will increase the "Objects Destroyed"-value...
- Another one from the 3rd Chapter of PK: if You blow up Maso Commanders with stakes, the program will increase the "Objects Destroyed"-value. This can be used for "fixing" the infamous "154/157" bug of "Abandoned Factory", although it's indeed not a nice thing (PM contains Doogues' fix for that, what is the best way, I think), but for those who don't know about PowerMad, there's no more chance from 1.5...
- And a last example: if You can hit an exploding object (a barrel or barrels, let's say from "Lab") by at least two bolts from the BoltGun, then the program will increase the "Objects Destroyed"-value...
After reading and understanding all the above..well, this bug is a real maddness, LOL! And there may be many-many other variants of it, what we still don't know...
My latest experiences from my latest BOOH-completion (with my own challenge)...
"Dead City": I got "105/99" for the first attempt, because I blew up some cars with stakes. That bugged me, so I restarted the whole level and I was avoiding stakes and bolts, during my second attempt. The result was "99/99" this time...
"Colloseum": I got "224/223", although I was trying hard to avoid destroying things with the StakeGun and the BoltGun (what definitely took away from the fun). But I didn't care: I didn't replay the whole level, because of that small issue... :p
All the rests were fine, but again, I'm never believing for the "Objects Destroyed" line again... ;)
