Pain Editor Trouble

I see that some people have trouble with the GAME and the error DIRECTX RENDERER, however, I don't have any problem with the game, but if I run the PainEd that's the error I get and nothing happens.

I have all the latest and greatest drivers for my RADEON card, my Windows XP is up-to-date and of course the latest DirectX.

Once again, PLAYING THE GAME IS NOT THE PROBLEM, TRYING TO RUN THE EDITOR IS.

Sorry... I'm using the editor all the time, but I can't think of anything that causes your problems... maybe some files are damaged, did you try to re-install? And which version of Painkiller are you running?

I have the "regular" Painkiller (not the gold or any other) and I have all the patches.

With or without the patches I get the same result, and yes, I reinstalled the game and the editor, that's why I'm asking since I don't know what's going on.

I've been playing the game for a while, it runs smooth as silk, no problems, but the editor doesn't run, weird huh?
