View Full Version : Altering appearance in full-version = Broken?

Hi all,

I got the full-version game today and find that I'm unable to change the appearance of any of the characters -- can't change hair style, color, etc. Am I missing something, or is this feature simply "borked" in the retail release? If so, how soon before a patch is released?

Thanks!

I too can not change the Face/Color, Hair Style/Color and with the Web Manual, states you can set Handyness... as for wielding weapons in Right Hand instead of the default Left.

Any news on this would be nice.... Kinda erked that we get Retail with locked features and 3 different manuals telling 3 different things :(

Hey Arttiss,

Any of the manuals mention how to enable the automap??? I keep hitting my "M" key, but nothing pops up. Is the map something you get later in the game, or is this a broken feature, too?

I think we get a map in the City.

We got stranded in the middle of the night with <Insert Weapon> and <Insert Armor> and 4 potions... not even a good-bye from where ever we came or whomever we travelled with. Also they up and took off with our skills too... cuz I know we had some before!! How else did we get to where we start.... heck, you already know how bad the roads are! Get Jumped by Goblins and them New York Rats...not to forget those BATS! Man.... I tell you if I had a gold peice for every Bat I ran into (Upped the Encounter rate) I would beable to hire someone with Skills to escort me!

*I just took a food break.... back to the game I go!

I dislike reading about features in the manual that aren't implemented in the game... That's usually a sign of something rushed out the door. However, the demo had none of the features mentioned (hair/skin color change, handedness, etc.), so i guess we'll have to live with it. My biggest fear is crash-bugs and quest bugs at this point. Also, has anyone tried this thing in multiplayer yet? Is it laggy?

it would be nice to change appearance a bit, but seeing how you spend 95% of the time looking at the toon's back/a*s, in armor, i hardly could care much, myself :)

Not being able to change appearance is causing me concern... It may be a bug or oversight or last minute change, but even many of the budget RPG's have this feature intact. At $39.99, I don't consider this a budget purchase. I am hoping for a patch that "turns on" the change appearance features and am dreading what else might be buggy or simply yanked from the game. I am not too happy about the fact that before I even had a chance to start adventuring, I had to come to this forum to see if others were having trouble with changing appearance.
