Hello. I have not been able to get the zoom function on any of the weapons to work. I tried reassigning it to another button, but still no go. Does anybody have an idea, or info about this function? Thank you for your help.

...it's only supposed to work with the Boltgun in BOoH.

it was something like that, but why have it in the options/key config menu in the original game when BooH wasn't even a gleam in the developer's eye? Rhetorical question there, just seems strange. Also, I saw a video made by either Varus77 or Kalme, where he used the zoom with the stakegun in the Palace Level, took out one of those archer-knights from so far away I could hardly see him when he un-zoomed and made the shot. It was incredible! Made it through the level anyway. Thanks again.

...in the original too.

What you saw either kalme or varus doing with it may have been a result of their scripting skills, both of them know how to dig deep in the files and tweak things, and your welcome btw.;)

:D - This was in the movie "Crazy"...

and it was a fake....done long before BooH was released. Maybe that's why PCF released a zoom? ;)

I just want to thank you and Frag Maniac and all the other videographers for the time and effort that you've put into these videos. They don't fight my battles for me, but they do show me different strategies and the all-important jumps and climbs, which I find even more challenging than the Demons.
I am in awe as I watch you people do your stuff. It is like watching an actual adventure movie. You play the Heroes very well indeed. Thanks again.

...than just an entertainment thing, if someone can find them of use to make the gameplay easier, then my goal is accomplished. This I was inspired to do by Varus and Kalme, in their never ending pursuit of gaming perfection, and just plain old fun!;)

but as Frag Maniac mentioned, only on the Bolt Gun, or whatever that gun is that shoots the 6 metal spikes. I almost never use it, but last night I tried it, and hit the "Z" button, and it worked!
I am sorry that I did not mention Kalme as being part of the group that have helped me to better my game-playing skills, because he certainly has shared some good advice in the threads I've read. Well Folks, that should about wrap it up for this thread. Again, thank you for your replies, and for helping me feel 'a part of...'
PS BTW, love the new Avatar Frag Maniac.

...for battle. It's odd that I've never used that zoom yet, because I heard about it well after going through BooH several times. Kalme was the one that told me, he certainly does know all the details of the game.

Thanks on the avatar compliment, that's Silver Surfer, the Marvel comic book hero. His character came up in discussion after the making of some of my videos that include Satriani music that is written after that character.

I consider it temporary though, not oly because I change my avatars form time to time, but because I've been wanting to make an animated one.

I used to read his comics when I was young. Joe Starlin was one of my first favorite comic book artists. That particular picture reminds me of the artwork of John Byrne, who did the best of the 'X-Men' comix artwork, and Paul Gulacy, who was the best of the artists on the 'Master of Kung Fu' series.

An off the topic question here; as I was working through the last level, when I took too much time beating You Know Who, and got sent back to the 'nuclear village', the whole landscape had dissappeared. I could see the ammo boxes I hadn't yet picked up, and the ghosts running around, but no buildings or walls or rockets. Strange. It was very confusing at first, but when I started blasting away with the shuriken star part of the electro-gun, and hit something that was supposed to be there, it showed up and stayed there. Really strange.
Is that a glitch, or an intended game effect?

....versions, if at all.

Others have mentioned various ways it happens, but when it happened to me, I'd be floating in air with ammo boxes around, but I couldn't move. Since patching to 1.64, I really don't recall if it's been a problem anymore, but it happens randomly anyway, so it can be hard to tell if it's fixed.

They don't always give the full details of what exact things each patch fixes, but I don't remember reading anything about this bug being addressed.

It was very disorienting, but it gave me a chance to bounce more demons with the painkiller, picking up a good bit of cash. Heh Heh

Sounds like it was a glitch to me. I've seen the same effect in Cemetery, Palace, and Train Station - all of a sudden all that can be seen is a bunch of rectangles where buildings should be, or a grey 'window' where a room should be etc.

before, had to go back to save way back in the level.
I am now working through the Nightmare difficulty. I was afraid that it would be too difficult to still be fun, but I find myself playing differently, waiting for them to come to me, and I've had no problem running out of Health so far.
I am using the cards more strategically now too. I'm telling you, the Iron Will, Triple Haste, and Mercy cards make my job a lot easier!
