Hey guys... I've been lurking here a while and just wanted to say hi on the eve of the games release and see if any of you want to hook up for some multiplayer action once we all have the game.

I've been a big fan of D.W. Bradley's games over the many years and hope this one turns out to be great.

Tried to get Wizards and Warriors installed on the 'ol P.C. but I can't seem to get it running very well under XP.. ah well

So in the meantime i've been playing a good old game called M.U.L.E. - anyone remember that game ;) I bet some of you old timers here do :)

Anyways, take care

Welcome to the DL boards. :) M.U.L.E. is one of the all time classics. I personally enjoyed Wiz and Warriors. If DL brings the same old school RPG charm, I'll be in heaven.

I started playing Wizards and Warriors when it first came out, but for whatever reason something came up in my life and I remember shelving it :(

I love all the old school rpg's too.. I think i'm probably in the minority but I actually liked Bane of the Cosmic Forge more that Crusaders.

It just seemed darker and more intense.... i remember being more fearful about what was around the next corner and more prone to staying up all night trying to do this or that in the game

Dungeon Master was similar to me in that way, maybe the graphics made me use my imagination a little more back then

Can't wait until tomorrow.. I know the demo was buggy and so I purposely have not downloaded or played it. Tomorrow will be a fresh look at a new game as far as i'm concerned and I believe in Mr. Bradleys talent so Friday is going to be good for several reasons :)

Blue Flapper: M.U.L.E. I'm not old enough to remember that game :D

W&W I loved that game but encountered a game stopping bug, and put it aside to wait for patch and it disappeared... I think brother in law boworrowed it and lost it.. By the time I found out that I wasn't getting it back I was already moved onto antoher game...

If you wish to play Wizards and Warriors on Windows XP you have to Convert the TOWN.AVI files into a older version because Windows XP doesnt support the newer versions of the AVI format...

Hmmm... Is that why I had to download quicktime just to play recent game trailers... ERRRR...

Quick Time has nothing to do with the game.
Its uses Mpeg which Microsoft got sued for using in there new AVI format.
Mpeg4 if Im not mistaken ... Therefor Windows XP only uses Mpeg 3...
Mpeg in a packed state.
