Repairing Equipment?

I can't seem to get the repair skill are we supposed to be able to use this skill?

Also I tried having my shield repaired by a weapons shopkeeper and that didn't seem to work also none of my other equipment seems to get damaged just the shield and there seems to be no way to repair it

i noticed that also must be coming in a patch or sompthing
not that i mind though i dont use shields ;)
