Arindale Tower Elevator

Alright, I brought Galdryn's Horn to the castle in Talendor, listened to the wizard speak a volume of text, then went back to Arindale to speak with Ellemdor at the top of the tower again. I can get into the tower, but the elevator will not go up. His servant can't help me either. Any ideas? I understand that I have to go up and speak to Ellemdor again in order to initiate the quests that get me back into Fargrove (it's closed).

you have to talk to his house keeper about emindale and he will say that he will see you now and then the elevator works.
