8. I heard there was an auto-map feature in Dungeon Lords but when playing it, I can’t seem to get it to work?
No auto-map feature has been included in the game. Exploration of the game world was intended as provided and is part of the game play experience. However, based on user feedback an auto-mapping feature may be included for a future update.

Why in the H' did they put this in the manual (SEVERAL TIMES) and offer a Scout Skill if it was not INTENDED?

I have really lost respect for D.W. Bradley, His Wizard games were great but these out right "Mis-truthts" (trying to be nice) nad bugs are rediculous.

It's just a lie from DC-Marketing to smother the complaints about it.

I thought that statement was pretty outrageous too. If you look carefully at the one of the movies, there's a scene with the map shown in the lower left hand corner.

not to mention people said they seen it in the demo...if they circumvented the mountain and got into fargrove....

There is even a /maps/ directory with a map for Fargrove as well as graphics for player markers.

Why not lie more you assholes!

Trully just because it was theer doesn't mean they intended to use it, just tried it out didn't like and were too lazy to remove the test files.... Though I think they just ran out of time in a major way and left a LOT out for that reason. Map is minor compared to other stuff content wise they cut out to release... I like the game as is but it'd be so much better if they fix all the issues...

Even if they delete the one screenshot with a map from their website it's going to be hard for them to delete the M key mapping from the help of all the installed demo and release versions of the game.

There is also a Roadmap in an other directory, which showes the same area as the printed Map, so it was planned to have a automap

And why do they have key mapping for it both in-game and listed in the manual? That's a total crock that it was never intended.

I think this is actually fraudulent. I would NEVER buy a game without an automap if I knew. I had every reason to believe it would be included. Screenshots, listing in manual, skills, key-mapping, etc.

It's like buying a refrigerator without a freezer. Technically, it would still work but not as effectively and not in the way that people have come to expect. Would people tell me to just buy a bag of ice every day and stick my frozen items on top of it? That it's no big deal? That I shouldn't be upset that an important feature is missing? That it still works, but it's just a little more incovenient to use. No....it would be considered fraud.

Deep breath. I really think they should refund the $$$ to everyone who was expecting an automap, no questions asked.
