Quick Menu Not Showing Up On Screen???

Played demo and never had this issue.

Pressing 'f' will not pop up the quick menu - even after I've assigned potions and spells to hot keys within the menu. I can press '1' for example and have that item activated, but I can't get the menu itself to appear onscreen.

Checked the key assignments, etc - it's some other issue..

Anyone else seeing (or not seeing) this?

I had to equip an arcane spell before it would show up for me.

I have a HP computor, my game wont start and the closest i ever got to playing was a black screen for 10sec. Does eney one know why, if so please help me out here.:D
