The following update was just posted to the Typhoon boards by Chuk22:

An update to Dungeon Lords will be posted (I am told) within 24 hours.
---------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------

Some of the changes covered in the update:

Main Menu resolution issue is being addressed.

Slums combat bug issue is being addressed.

Huge improvement to NPC dialogue functionality, allowing interruption of dialogue and VO.

A number of quest/class related bug issues have been fixed.

Improved Availability/Functionality of spells.
Increased rate of spell recharge.
Decrease cost of spells in shops.

Certain shop exploits fixed.

Balancing changes, mostly to even out some of the unbalanced difficult areas, such as the house of Fathien, and some wilderness areas. Witches have been toned down greatly, locust damage has been reduced.

Chest drops have been adjusted towards a more liberal distribution of items.

Boss creatures have been adjusted and enhanced (many gaining additional powers).

Coffin/chest entrapment issue fixed.

---------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------

Will let you know about character customization as soon as I know...

---------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------
We will continue to update and make improvements to the game, I am monitoring feedback and compiling the information and passing it on.

If you experience technical issues, you can send me information at CHUK22_HP@hotmail.com.

More detail on the issues is better... If you experience a crash, you can send me a .sav file IF IT IS JUST BEFORE THE CRASH or, immediately after a crash, open the debug.log file, copy the text, and send me that. We will try to tackle all bugs and technical issues as soon as possible.

I will try to keep on top of things here the best I can, though my powers at this point are limited (being an artist and all).

This post combined with the updated automap FAQ make me feel a little better. It really does show that folks are paying attention, they obviously saw how people felt about their previous response to the Map item in the FAQ, which means they are reading the forums as we speak.

My spirits are raised a bit, and seeing the class fix is in the patch is nice.

LOL, no joke on some crazy imbalanced areas. The end of that on Super Mario + Ghostly Elf area where you have to take on 20 mages at once in 20' diamater room each of which is more powerful than you are is... ridiculous.

I hope they leave Ulm like it is, there are hidey holes you can use to stay safe and it is a real challenge.

The game is mostly too easy, but a few areas are just absurd.

I was out of potions by then and so had to run in circles so they'd kill each other for literally 30 minutes.. the fun! No way was I going to go buy more potions and restart that from the beginning.

You get ADV points killing anything, making it that hard (e.g. requring lots of potions) doesn't add anything to the game that I can see.

I'm glad HP is communicating with us. I've rearely see that with other game companies.
