I've wanted to like this game. I really have! I've tried convincing myself the mistakes were arbitrary, and the plot was good, and the gameplay more than made up for any shortcomings. But I have to say I've had my fill. This game never, never, should have been released in the state it's in! Maybe in 4 patches or so, I'll try it again. For now it's going to sit on my hard-drive. I have better games to while away my time with, and this definitely isn't one of them.

Just check on things here every week and see what's available. I'm sure it's going to take months of patches to fix everything in this game.

Still using dialup? Haha...

And you only use the internet to check for patches? Nothing else?

Geez you most have a pretty poor gaming life, or try to get practically every game developer to pay your phone bill, because almost everything gets patched, and generally over a course of months.

**** diablo 2 was even years...

:D :D
and how old is the game now?
didya know the bioware registered online forum fan-base is over 2.5 MILLION??!! i won't even speculate what it is here.... altho i think here has more game devs/forum mods than posters.

;) anyway, the bioware patches seem to be mostly for keeping up with new pc tech, changes in vid/sound/mobo drivers, windows updates, and new content.
besides, bioware has prolly the only dev team i can think of that keeps in constant contact with their fan-base to find out what is needed to keep them playing.
that's commitment. they WANT their fans to know they appreciate them. and guess what? they do. because of that, they stick around.
