View Full Version : We are missing an important fix

we keep complaining about little problems when a huge problem is still in the game....

YOU CAN BECOME ANY CLASS YOU WANT REGARDLESS OF YOUR STATS!

there is no challenge if I can do anything I want regardless if I earned it....the game needs to check your character and make sure he/she can become this class....

people this should be a paramount fix....all the others like maps and customizable features is just eye candy....well maybe not the maps...but this makes the game almost pointless ....

there IS a fix,
just don't join this class until you've got the required things

cause character customization is stupid, first of all my player have a plate helm.. so i don't **** care of the face he got lol, and i don't think that there's a way to turn the camera to see the face of our player, so why care about this fix? lol

My god who cares about this? Just voluntarily don't join until you meet the reqs. FFS.

How about worrying about something substantial, such as lack of any feature that is outside the primary storyline.

Comparing this game to -any- other decent rpg I get a long list of missing things - such as

Sidegames (M&M, other)
Horses (Daggerfall, etc.)
Housing (Ultimas, Daggerfall, etc)
Nonessential clothing (many)
moral choices (many)
multiple paths (many games)
decorative content
scripted encounters
...

There's so many ways that this game was tragically rushed out the door, that it's remarkable for that feature alone. Publisher pressure perhaps? We're seeing I think probably half the game that was intended.

I agree, that is an easily exploitable bug. I don't want to have to 'pretend' that I need to meet the requirements...I want them to be there.

Using that logic people should just 'pretend' that there's a map, and 'pretend' that the repair works by buying a new shield.

Or, just play D&D and 'pretend' it's called Dungeon Lords and it's on a computer ;)

My point is that it takes any kind ofreason for trying to advance other then becoming the best...if you see what I mean.

look at it as if it were a cheat,

you don't want to beat the game using cheats, do you?

yah this is really not good.. I joined the celestial order when my stats where nowhere near the requirements.. did the first quest ok but the second quest sent me to Arindale where i had a huge Fire drake waiting to kill me. After the drake killed me in 2 seconds , i would wait for him to leave but that never happend so i could not resurect and get away becuase he would kill me again, so i loaded my game again and the drake has made it impossible to get to arindale, witch ends the game for me with that character.. so it would be good if they didnt exept you into the guilds until you meet the requirments.

I tried to force my self to get the requirements for Lord before questing for it but it would have taken forver to get the adv points i needed for heavy armor 10 and heavy weapons 10(I went for it when I was half way to getting heavy armor 10 because I didn't wana run around bashing random mobs for HOURS).If I wanted to make the requirements I would have had to of gone Knight AND Paladin (nearly identical class but double ups the learning bonus), which isn't exactly fair as how am I supposed to know ahead of time what the requirements are for tier 3 class  ?

Oh ye of little imagination,

Sidegames: Don't you enjoy playing "Where the **** am I now?"
Horses: They're there, they're just all being used at the moment, just check the stables in Fargrove, they're empty.
Housing: What, you don't have one? Mine is the 3rd "plain door" on the left past the Inn. Lost my keys though, must be in my other armor.
Nonessential clothing: Take your pants off sometime, your character is wearing underwear. That's not essential, haven't you ever gone commando?
Moral Choices: I made a moral decision not to get involved in the fight with the apothecary adn her husband, I could have though.
Multiple Paths: Tons of 'em. There's one going to Fargrove, one to Arindale, Bolen Feild, ect.
Decorative content: Everything is decorated, can't you see? It's all Spartan decor.
Scripted Encouners: Ok. 1 point for Nox.

Sorry, couldn't resist. No offense. All I really wanted to say was:

Why are some of us still trying to tell others what they should want out of this game?

The smart *** in me just got a little carried away :D

IMO this bug is one of the largest ones currently in the game. You don't realize it because you just want a class and probably arn't even reading, but if you sat down and read you'd realize that your character is probably way under the specs for any given class, especially Tier3 ones. These quests are not meant to be gotten so early.

And no company should do music b/c you can just buy a CD and play it in the background.

And why have voice acting - you can just speak the lines out loud in different voices.

Oh, and why have classes? You can just imagine being a mage or a fighter or a thief.

And why have any spell animations except one? You can just pretend it's a bunch of different ones.

Yeesh, what a fanboy.

Hold down the Control key to rotate the camera around your character.

I don't care as much about customization as I do lack of facial expression. There's nothign sillier than my female elf having a perpetual smile on her face even when she's getting her *** kicked. lol

Qualifying for a guild. Earning it. Is one of the coolest things about this game
The various stats are one of the most important parts of an RPG.
When something this central to the game isn't working, it's a bad thing.
And programming wise,a really easy fix.

This one needs to be in the next patch IMO

Maybe because most everyone out there likes to customize there character?
Its called a RPG for a reason. You CREATE a character you will assume the role of. Just because you dont like it doesnt make it stupid.

:D

you really make me laugh,

but i think it's just a bug and you can choose to use that or not. as i mentioned, for myself is somehow like a cheat. or do you sell lockpicks for unlimited money?
i'm not a fanboy, if you have read my other posts you wouldnt think that.
but there are other bugs which are way more important to be fixed as that one is. things we don't have a workaround.
that it should be fixend is obvious, and it will be fixed, i'm sure about that.

i can see that you know what "sarcasm" is by looking at your post, but maybe other post as well aren't THAT serious as you take them.....
