How to reach the Forest Guardian

I just got the Tree Totem, i'm just near the place where we found it, where do i go from there to find the Forest Guardian? to find after this, the Shadow Stone?

the forest guardian is east of grymlock in the northern steppes

you've said it to me before, but i can't find him... lol and where are those Northen Steppes? and right now i'm where we get the Tree Totem if that can help.

go back through the forbidden land, through skuldoon, back NW to lake dread. head north from lake dread and keep running north til you run into another lake (forget its name). take a bath in the lake and then head NW from there. thats the northern steppe area. its also clearly labeled on the paper map that came with the game.

grymlock's tower is in the central part of the steppes near some large hills

i don't have Paper Map lol so héhé i've search a lot in Forbidden and i was a lot away to find it lol thx!

I got to him, got the totem pole but he will not let me by.Am I missing something?

You can find a world map here. http://www.gamebanshee.com/dungeonlords/walkthrough/worldmap.php You'll find the forest guardians at the beginning of that curvy part in the far northeast corner.
The forest guardians look like trees. Is that who you're talking too? If so they should start a conversation with you when you approch. However be careful the last time i tried to talk to them I was attacked by some scorpions. When I started attacking the scorpions the forest guardians attacked me. There are 8 or 10 of those things and they are tough. I managed to kill them all for over 1,000,000 exp points :D. I used blast novas and fireballs on them. Melee might be problematic to say the least. D.
