The rooms in the tomb the the two gates and the water. One side has a button and that opens a room on one side. And it also opens the room on the other side of that area (the area behind the other gate).
You can search the place for the levers for those gates, or just swim in the tunnels under the water.

Hmmm. The gates were down for me as I never found the levers to fix the broken switches.
The button I had to push was on the left side far room (left when first entering the room. It was along the back wall and was round.
Thats the best I remember it.

Yep folks, a similar problem: (I think) just before your question in the game I can't access two areas in the Ulm/Fathien Stronghold and therefore can't get to the requested armor:
1) Down in the castle , just after a floor-that-has-collapsed, I rescued some dude from the prison who tells that the armor is placed in a tomb, whose entrance is in another tomb. OK, going down from than point I end up in a sewer (with loads of green poison slimies), can swin under a gate, but can't get past the gate at the end of the sewer. No levers/loose bricks/ underswimming/etc visible...
2) Higher in the castle (close to Fathien's disappearing seat) I can get down with an elevator to find two entrances. My guess is these are the two aforementioned tombs, but the locks on both doors recuest an item/key...
So -> for all you more-experienced players: can anyone tell us how to get past the last sewer-gate and/or how to obtain the keys for those tombs?
Anywayz, thanx for any help...

1. Kill the younger Fathien Lord near the ent to the castle on some steps going up. This gives you a castle key.
2. Use said key to open the locked doors near fathien's throne room the ones up the stairs and to the left. This takes you to Elder lord Fathien.Kill em and get his key.
3. There are two ways to the tombs. One is the stairway to the sewers,However u cant open the gate down there from this side.the otherway is the lift near Fathiens Kitchen.
4.Once down go through the left door. Kill a bunch stuff loot some coffins and check the wall of the tunnel for a loose brick. this opens a chest room with a skull lever.
5. Go back to the starting tomb room and go into the lever room. 1 lever on each side should be up.
6. Once inside swim straight ahead and put the skull lever in the left hand socket.this opens the left gate.Once its open explore over on that side there should be 2 rooms with chests. one of them with a button on the back wall.
there is also another skull lever in the farthest tunnel. Get it use it on the other side.
7.There are 2 more rooms on the right side of the dungeon and one of them has a button on the back wall. this button leads u too a room with the armor and a fireball chucking spectre guy with "friends".Once u win get out the way u got in.

Go back up to the main throne room. Go up the stairs and then go left. You should run into more stairs that take you up to the Elder Fathian's quarters. Kill him and you get the tomb key.

whow, thanx for the details!
you also happen to know wich of those keys is the 'Fathien's Keep' key?
atm, I can only find one and I also only remember killing one 'tough lord', as you said, up some stairs just left of the main entrance (just b4 those stairs there is also a loose brick there which doesn't seem to do anything).
sure hope I didn't forget to pick up one of those keys (although, I also have the 'Fathien Prison' key), 'cause I won't like to do all that Ulm-stuff again...
Thanx again!

There are two Fathien Lord types in the house. So if you've only killed one then you have one more to go.

do u mean the room with the 4 levers down the elevator? I tried some combinations but nothing happens...(or seems to happen?) is the wall supposed to open or something?

For those who have found the tomb by way of the four switches that are on the wall, as well as found one of the broken levers (I think there is only one to be found)
I suggest using the broken lever on the left tunnel switch because you can always swim in the sewer system to the right tunnel (which has the Armor for the quest). You just have to go into the water and find the sewer tunnel, which is by the ledge that has the two broken lever switches.
Sorry if this has been posted before.

If you follow the left tunnel all the way to the end, you'll find the second skull lever under the water.

A bit frustrating and I'm sure other people are stuck on this. When you first enter the tomb with the four levers, not only does one lever on each side have to be down, but specifically the first one on the right and the 2nd one on the left. Did anyone find any clues or hints to this in the game? Or was this just a part of the quest that you had to get frustrated enough to just randomly try everything? <sigh> Whatever happened to "good" logic problems?

Once in the tombs with the water, take the first underwater tunnel to the left...BINGO...it's the elven Argalia! No levers needed...maybe an air potion though.
