Does anyone know if there are any cheats or trainers that will work with v1.1?
I heard something about a fly cheat but no concrete info so far

This is my DL 1.1 trainer. It is my first custom programmed trainer (I usually use TMK, but the keys weren't working with DL, so I wrote this from scratch.)

A few notes:
It requires .NET Framework 1.1 to be installed.
Infinite health means both you AND the enemies. (I need to learn code caving to fix this.)
Infinite spells and items means spellbooks, celestial spells, nether spells, nether katals, potions, and (hopefully) runes. I haven't tested runes yet because I only have 1.

Infinite means it only goes up, never down. You will have to earn gold and Adv points before you can spend them, but they won't go down when you do.

This is obviously a work in progress. I made it for myself, but a friend wanted it too and since I haven't seen anyone else's trainer, I decided to release it.

You don't really need to use potions, there's 2 fireplaces in the castle. Drag the guy to one of them and you won't need any potions. I used like 50+ potions the first time I went to ulm and like 5-10 potions the second time tx to the fireplaces :).

yeah, took me forever too, you need to find a loose brick in a wall in the area that is to the right of the talking face in the wall, the one that is in the big hole in the ground. after you do this, you will open a passage that is to the left of the face, and the guardian of the temple is in there

Have you ever made a trainer? From scratch? It's actually very interesting.

As for cheating, I don't have a whole lot of extra time in my life. If I can have the fun from the entire game in 20 hours instead of 40, I'm all for it.

I'm primarily an adventure gamer. There are tons of rpg's that have great gameplay. By cheating I'm essentially turning them into adventure games. Man, I'm in game heaven!

Hmm. I've had some katals work and some not, myself. I think the difference is whether or not you have more than 1 of that katal. (Only 1 doesn't work.) I'll take a look at it later and see if I can figure it out.

Zweettooth the trainer you posted on pg 2 is corrupt. Can you make sure the file is ok.

The zip is corrupt or the exe? The exe requires .NET Framework 1.1 and will appear corrupt without it.

THATs because you need to go to www.rarlabs.com and get yourself a copy of Winrar, no selfrespecting user utilize zip anymore.. just not enough compression power in it...
If you take a look around the web you will se about 1 in 20,000 files are .zip the rest are .rar or .tar (but .tar is Linux, so dont worry about that one yet)

AVG scanned it virus free. She probably used the common keylogging techniques to capture button presses for ctrl-F3, etc.

What is the exact message? One popular trainer maker(TMK) has an issue as one of its files is reported as spyware... I make them from scratch myself but won't waste my time on DL...

Your method of infinite health is different from mine, so it should be fine. Mine removes the code that subtracts from health, yours keeps refreshing it to max. Yours won't affect the enemies, but the constant refresh could slow the game down a bit, depending on the computer.

As for max stats, I hadn't noticed that before... I had gotten used to killing everything with magic. I used Adv points to up my skill to 150 and I get the same effect... I hardly ever hit the enemy. (Maybe 1 time in 10.)

Weird thing happen with your trainer.
I was trying the kill Wizard from the doorway in Elven Trials #4. About after 6 or 7 hits from him I Died, My Health bar was full, but I was dead.

Also can you turn off cheats, I just want to use Unlimited Health to get thru this stage then no more.

Another thing, I turned Unlimited Health (CTRL + F2) and fought for awhile then Hit it again and my health slowly went down, I killed all but the last elf before I finaly got hit by a fireball and died, but my health lasted almost from begining of 4th trial till end, it just slowly went down instead of the normal rate? wierd huh?

like i have to kill the warlock in vale ruins to complete the quest but the stupid warlock doesn't appears, so maybe a cheat can help me overcome that stupid bug! :mad:

I dont think you can make a trainer to complete quests. I have no idea why you died but the trainer worked fine for me, didnt test it against strong enemies but it stayed at 999 for 5 minutes when wolves attacked me.

The way her trainer works, you'll need to exit the game and trainer both, then load up the game again. You'll take normal damage again at that point. The 999 HP, I dunno exactly what she did, so I can't comment on.

can anyone tell me how to use the trainers? i downloaded one and it said to launch the game and then press some of the F number keys to get the effects, but when i load my gam eand press them nothing happens, even after 10 min nothing happens, any ideas?

Launch the trainer first, then the game. Then the keys will work.

Updated my trainer. Infinite health no longer affects the mobs, just you. (Yay! My first code cave!) This was a real nightmare, btw.

These trainers only work on the patched version of Dungeon Lords (v1.1), so if you don't have that, they won't work.

I've also only tested mine on Windows XP, other operating systems may not be able to use them.

Yep. I moved your files to the main Dungeon Lords game folder for kicks & grins, and it's working now.

Glad to hear it's working, but there's absolutely no reason that should have worked ;) It doesn't rely on anything in any directory other than what it came with... It modifies the game in memory only and uses no external references. Ah well, such are the vagaries of computers :)

There was a post in another thread about mapping where the author had posted a helper app that figures out coordinates and will allow you to do a small "warp."

Look around and you should be able to find it. Sorry I don't recall exacty where.

There was another helper app posted in this forum that changes quest flags - so if you are quest-stuck look for that.
