stuck in fargrove

I've been wandering aimlessly around fargrove looking for the westgate. What am I missing?

it's right next to the castle--go west once across the bridge outside of davenmore's castle

I must be missing something simple here - the guards won't let me pass

Same here -can't get past the guards saying the gates have been closed at the lord-whats-his-faces order.

This is the main quest of the game folks


You spawn in forest near a fire, there's a messenger, he gives you a letter from Seer Agustus in Fargrove.

Take letter to temple in fargrove, you will speak with a seer lady and she will give you a key to see Agustus.

Go to his quarters, oh no, he's being attacked, save him. He's dying, he tells you to go back to seer lady, she'll tell you what to do.

She sends you into the tombs for a relic, go get it. I don't remember if you have/get to talk to the seer lady again.

Now, you need to go talk to the proprieter of the magic shop, located near the moonbridge. He has been trying to find Lord Davenmor's daughter for him, he gives you a letter to give to Davenmor. The guards should now let you in the manor. I believe he is also the one that sends you to see Emmindor
in Arindale.

Davenmor will ask you to speak to people in the manor to see if anyone knows anything. Ellowyn's chambermaid does, she's upstairs.

Go back to Davenmor and he should tell; you to go forth and find his daughter. He gives you orders that will let you get out of the city.

Ok -I went back to Celestine after saving him from the spectre -but she told me to go to arendale(sp)and I went to the catacombs(under the temple)and it said "item required" and the seer didn't give me anything?

If you are playing version 1.0 and joined the Celestian Order before talking to Celistine, she won't give you the quest, it's a bug. Go get the patch and try again, they said they fixed it.

You can still do this with v1.0, you just have to let the NPC complete the speach before you click the next related subject.

She will give you the key after you click on "extraordinary path" and listen to the whole speach.

And what the heck was that headless thing in the moseluem? Tough!
I found the talking brick but don't have the password. Was the headless thing the "guardian"? He didn't drop a password or anything.

That wasn't the guardian. The guardian is close but only appears after you have talked to the head. Look around for him again.

In order to get the password, you have to go down a ladder and make your way to a big room where a taurus/bull something will appear. When yoou manage to kill it two words will appear on screen aka the password. Then you go back to the brick face dudde and you get the horne.Cheers

I went back and got it.
Got lucky- the 1st time the giant rat kept feezing me and I couldn't do anything. I had just saved, so I stood back across the steps, where I couldn't even see him, and started using my bow- hit him a few times(he paces, so not every time)and used all my shreiking stars and magic missles, too. Took a while, but I killed him without ever having to have melee with him.

I Get All This, And u Failed To Say How To Kill the Mage Dude With The Flying Candles And Flaming Skulls In Seer Agustus House. The Guy is Yelling The Candles The Candles Wtf Are U Supposed To Do?.

You grab the candles as they fly past in the whirlwind, expect to get whacked by a couple of the skulls at least, then replace the newly acquired candles on the altars in all 4 corners of the room, then run into the middle and kick the spirit in the nether katal regions ;)

You Grab The Candles How.. Just Stand In The Massive Hurriccane? Or Is there a key Or Some Thing?

Tap the use button (shift) as the candles fly past. If you tap the shift key as the skulls go by you get "hit" by them.
