how should I solve this problem?

I started a new game with my friend, we were using Lv 1 characters.
We can't enter Fargrove as the gate was closed, so we followed the Golbin to go through the secret tunnel.
right inside the tunnel there is a lever, I'm the host and we tried many times and many situations(either I press the lever or my friend, either we stood very close together or far away), the result is only I(host) can enter the underground, only one time we can both enter. I wonder anyone suffer the same case as me, or is there any solution?

the another problem is, we saved the game after we entered, but I found that when I host a game and load that save, my friend didn't appear when I(host) entered the game... please help~

I have only played LAN with 2 other people (3 players total) and we were able to press the lever and load the sewers fine. I think you both need to be in relatively the same area to load the next level.

As far as loading your characters from the save game, this is how it works.
(I am doing this from memory)

1. Click on multiplayer, Internet or LAN
2. Click on Host Game
3. Click on Load Saved Game
(DO NOT LOAD CHARACTERS, BECAUSE THIS WILL MAKE NEW LEVEL 1 CHARACTERS)
4. Now you should see your characters on the right side, just click on each of your characters to make them appear on the left side.

5. Click your check boxes to the left of your positions to be ready, then click Start

Now if you aren't even seeing him after you do this process, I'm not sure why. This worked for me playing LAN with 2 other people. When you do load your characters, it puts all characters where they were when you saved.

All your problems can be solved by uninstalling the game, burning the box with CDs..including the second Disc 2, never buy anything from DreamStealer again and realizing you just got jacked.
