Joining Celestial Order

Started as fighter and got quest to join fighters guild, but also wanted to get adept as secondary class. However, when i go to celestial order guy, he tells me that he would like to offer me to join, but they only accept people who "show the favor of the stars" or something. What do I need to do to join?

I think they are trying to say you have to be a mage.

Then I found/bought a rune, and on the next visit he thought i am worthy to become an adept. so seems like the items you have are checked as well. someone else reported that he got the option for ninja lord only after he bought some ninja cloth.

I started with the same character, Fighter. I had the same message when I first visited the Temple. After I completed the initial quest to deliver the letter (one received at beginning of game) to the person (can't remember his name) in another area of the city (one that gives you the life star crystal), I returned to the Temple and was offered the option to join.

I really think you needed to complete the initial letter quest, nothing to do with your inventory.

Hello All,

Just would like to clarify a couple of things...

You can have 1 main specialization and 1 secondary specialization. You will find if you sign up to more than 2 guilds that you will start getting rejected from others, although you may still be able to do some guilds side quests, you will not be able to specialize in more than 2 for each new character you have.

If you have no option to join a guild, it may be related to completing an initial quest first. If you are completely rejected from a guild, this usually would mean you actually already have 2 specializations.

Ya, it's the first letter quest. It's seer Augustus I believe, go see him and after receiving his crystal, go back to temple and as long as your first 4 class slot has 1 free, you should be able to join.
