Anyone else notice stuff spawns under water now? Since the 1.1 patch. World water.. Not in dungeons that i've seen.
Some kind of fish. Never catch the name after hitting them with blast nova :)
Havent SEEN them alive either. just hear the attacking sounds and fry them. little corpses floating all over.
No more hiding in the water.. The anklebiters will get you if you think you're safe.

The small one are pirahna, and there are bigger ones called bloodgills.

Arg! I hate these things, they are so hard to kill with weapons becuase you cant see them and I hate to waste blast nova on 15 exp mobs! They attack like every 5 seconds while in the water, I began just ignoreing them and letting them chew on me until i get to land.

never saw any in the ulm quests... just those dang sewer slime things.
i hate those. gassed. while under water.

Hey try Poisonous Cloud, it works on the fish underwater.
Actually works great on almost everything.

The fish are new to 1.1, to stop camping out in the water and taking down things health.
And you can see the fish if you go under water, as most of the time they will not surface, and show from the top of the water. Except the bloodgills whose fins stick out.
The piranah are usually the most common, and attack in mass. But you have to swing at them from under water. Pretty easy to fight to with a sword under water. Or any spell for that matter.
But blast nova is easiest to get rid of them. Besides just ignore them and use a health potion they hardly damage you that much. I guess early on it might be tough with them but eh they are like little biting flies at the point my characters is at (shadow realm lvl 20 adept/mage/celestial/battlemage/stargazer) well pretty much everything is biting flies its pretty easy going. though my health does drop at lot from things tougher then the fish.

I don't like using my precious spells on the fish. i just use sideways slashing (a or d and the left mouse button), while quickly spinning in a cirlce motion with the mouse for the little fish. for the bigger fish, i dive down a little bit and then fight them.
At least there are no sea monsters AFAIK :eek:
