i am stuck at the begining of the game in the dungeon when theres a door i can lock pick.i tried one time to lock pick and i failed and then now i cant lock pick any more that door.its like the lock broke or something.what a bullshit.which way i can go now?

Behind you on the wall is a lever, pull it, now go back the other way and a gate that was previously closed will have opened.

There is a locked gate accross from the lever, if you fail, it becomes permanently locked....
However... there is a key in a hidden area in the sewers that will open any sewer lock, even after one has become permanently locked....

So would it be beneficial to go back into the sewers and level up/gain items before heading out of Fargrove for the first time?

To first poster:
No real point going in that level 4 locked door.
I had hacked my exp and skilled up the thief skills to level 4 (identify, pick lock and disarm trap) at the start, and the only things in the room you are pondering is a couple level 4 chests as I recall. No biggie.
