Has anyone tried out any of the Final Fantasy's for the PC. I have seen a few, but can't make heads or tails of them since they are up to number XI.
Plus there is no in-game footage so I can figure out what type of game play besides some type of fantasy rpg that might or might not be in online...
Can someone fill me in.??

on pc u can play two titles: ff 7 and ff 8.
on emulators of nes/snes u can play ff 1-6
on epsxe (psx emu) u can play ff9
ff6, ff7 and ff9 are the best (imo)
generally speaking, final fantasy series is a typical example of jrpg - japanese rpg. interesting well built plot, linear game, good graphics, and manga. cool:)
personally, my favorite is FF8.
it was the game that got me hooked onto RPGs.
I tried playing FF7 afterwards, but the graphics sorta turned me off.
i also have played a bit of the snes final fantasies as well as FF9, FFX, and FFX-2.
i'm sorta looking forward to FFXI...

What got me hooked on RPG's was Dragon Warrior that was for the original NES - a long time ago

My First real Rpg was Ultima & Ultima 2 on Commodre 64
