View Full Version : Frozen MP
When I host a game eveyone who joins is frozen. And can't chat or move or anything.
But they can see me moveing around and they can see my chat.
On the other hand,
If I join a game, then I'm the one frozen. Can't move or chat. But can see eveyone else moveing around and chating.
What gives?

If you are behind a router or are using a firewall you need to open a few ports. Refer to this http://www.geocities.com/northern_games/multi-player.html
and see what happens. I have been able to play with other people but have had problems hosting. Make sure in multi that you stay near the host as it seems that the lag is worst the further away you are .

no fire wall
and im not laging
i can see everything that goes on
i can see them chating
and moveing
just, i cant, i cant do any of that
and it happen in reverse if i host
eveyone who joins sees me moveing around and chating but hey are all locked up and cant do anything
this does not seem like an issue for firewalls, becuas they are an all or nothing kind of thing
my problem is more localized to if you join, or if you host, and wich ever you are, the joiner is forzen wile the host is not

The only thing like that that happen to us was my freind couldnt move or anything. We spent about ten min trying to figure it out. Then he hit the respawn key and found out it was because he was dead.Even though he was standing up right in front of me he couldnt move. You might Be dead and just dont know it.For you it will look like your standing up looking straight ahead. This was one of the best bugs i have seen in a while.Good luck hope the lag doesnt kill you from playing like it did us.We can only hope the patch takes care of it.We realy like the game alot I cant beleive we tryed to play through as much crap as we did.We finaly couldnt take it any more and just gave up.

edix-
same thing happens with me. i have all ports forwarded (even played without the router, just to see) and 9 times out of 10, the joiner is either frozen or he is teleported to death and then begins spinning forever and ever.
