I have read too many posts complaining about how sloppy the game was designed..and to tell you the truth i partially agree. However, i would like to start this thread so we can list the things that we DO like about the game.

For instance, i love the combat with the blocking and counterattack, the graphics(especially the sky with all the stars is fascinating!!!).
There is also another feature i have met only in DL:Experience points. That is the way you manage the experience you get.You don't have to wait for the next level to advance your character,as you get exp points each time you kill a monster and it is really fair that strength, for instance, has a different cost as you get higher. The last two features are very radical!!!Moreover, it is nice, for a change, that a rpg game requires from you to use your brain and not "hack and slash" everywhere.

Also, with the coming 1.2 patch, af it is as promised with the automap feature and everything, the game will be everything we have hoped for!!!

I think this game has potential to be one of the greatest games out thier this year. I think in 3 months this game will be really fun for people that are just purchasing it, though for us that got it before it was done, it's a bit frustrating, but the charecter development makes it all worth while.

I like skies...marveoulusly designed and I like to watch them when falling in the no clipping area of vale of Ruin floors...or watching them while waiting Valkyre messenger get unstuck in the trees

I like when I can swing my dwarven or any other axe in trusting fashion same as I do trust with swords

I like to have a moment of recuperation and regeneration in pause menu when fighting an agressive boss

I like the ruined dungeons and flying without any spells, climbing on the walls without flying spells

I like the hidden arctic areas ;)

heck...I even enjoy repairing my collection of the same shields collected adventuring

Is it so hard for people to allow someone a 'what do you like' thread?

- I love the dungeons - the design and puzzles.
- I like the combat action, I have it tweaked to feel somewhat like JKII
- I like many of the spells
- I love the look of the towns in the game.
- I like how the women you see are not objectified as in so many fantasy games.
- I like the end section - I think it is better integrated than many recent games, and wraps things up in a way that makes more sense than most recent games.

Stating the fact, mate, just stating the fact
Don't get me wrong, I also like the potential...but I also would like to PLAY that potential in the near future ;)

Seriously...beasts and other enemies + NPC's, you have to notice that they were treated with love and care in details and design

1) The art is fantastic. I love the skeletons, goblins, etc. The 2D map art is just plain cool. It's very crisp and sharp. I invoke skeletons just so that I can walk around and get a good look at them.

2) The atmosphere in this game is really spooky. I know some complained about the darkness, but I love it. You just don't see real spooky dungeons like this anywhere.

3) Great fun with the experience point system, immediate gratification. I've not felt this way since since I played M&M 6.

4) I really like the lock pick system, most fun in years of playing rpgs.

I like...

- The combat. I always like hack n' slash anyhow. :p Dual wield is very cool and so is blocking. It's fun to fight off a mob.

- The monster models are all cool and I like the skins, especially the wolves and the various undead. Giant snakes and those Naga dudes are cool too. Oh and the Dragons of course. So far the bosses were all pretty good (just fin the Shadow Ruins). The Slimes remind me of D&D. :D

- The random treasure. Gotta like opening a chest and not knowing what you'll get. You get something you really like you better save the game. ;)

- Most of the weapons and armor all pretty nice. Really like some of these cool swords and I'm carrying 3 helms that look awesome and I don't know what one to wear. :p Like those shields with skulls on them.

- All the magic effects look cool and although I don't usually use magic in RPG's often I like firing off some fireballs at a group of goblins and then running in with blades to finish them off. Mixing nether spells is pretty neat and casting locusts on Chunnlers is funny. ;)

- The graphics are nice. I like the look of the wooded areas, the swamps and how the leaves and grass move. The change from day to night is good too.

- The combat sounds add a lot to the fighting.

- Secret areas. :D

- The dungeons. I really liked the Catacombs, Naga Temple and that final boss room in the Shadow Ruins, which reminded me of playing Doom. Good stuff. All of the ruined castles look cool. Really like the outside of the Shadow Ruins and the front of that Daedroth Castle. Exploring inside and outside is entertaining.

- The way you distribute experience points is spot on.

- Getting a new class is cool especially when you get new skills.. gotta like that.

- That talking mouth in catacombs is funny after you take the relic. :p

- It only crashed once. ;)

- The in-box map is nice.

The best bit about the game was probably the levelling system. I thought it was quite intuitive and original. I'd put it up there with SPECIAL and the Morrowind system.
