Frustrated with DL like I am? Play The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind instead! Everything DL claimed to have to make it great is in Morrowind, and Morrowind is actually FUN. There are HUNDREDS of mods and plug-ins out there for Morrowind, so even if you play through the main game (which takes many, man hours) and its two expansions (which are awesome as well) there is more player-made content out there! There are total conversion mods out there that create a WHOLE NEW GAME (based on the items and gameplay of TES3, of course). There are mods that can transform the world into Middle Earth from Lord of the Rings! Do what I do, folks - sh*tcan this piece of crap called Dungeon Lords (which will most likely NEVER be completed) and play something else!
I don't care if this gets me banned, flamed, called a troll, or whatever...I just had to say it! :D

I totally agree with you here, the only thing good I got out of dungeon lords was that it inspired me to go out and replace my broken Morrowind CD. In the year sence I played it last, the mods have advanced so far!

you are absolutly right man! morrowind is a very great game it poos on dungeon lords.i recently bought the two addons to play it again ,the best part about this game is if you dont like something then change it,there are plugins to change every aspect of the game : i downloaded a texture replacer( i use this one: http://www.kalendaar.com/morrowmodules/article.php3?id_article=513 i think its the best) better bodys, better heads ,morrowind enhanced for the better combat system and a few hundred other mods,i cant describe how well this game looks and plays ,its absolutly awsome ,so dont waste your time with this bug ridden unfinished piece of crap just play morrowind!

Morrowind is three years old now and was bugged as a beehive on release. No Quest-Log at all. Only with the two expansions it's playable but still overall too easy and thus boring.
So give DL the time ES3 had to ripe and post again in three years.

hmm i think you never played it all and you are just defending this pos game.
well maybe it had some bugs at release but it is very playable now and if you get the goty edition or the addons which are very cheap now you get a really good questlog ( by the way there was a journal from the beginning they just made it userfriendlyer in the addons) .with a texture replacer and some new models it looks ten times as good as dl.by the way i cant really understand how you can say morrowind is easy(maybe you shouldnt play on easy difficulty) and boring and then play dl wich has the most boring landscape and gameplay i ever saw ,i mean just look at the review scores these two games got dl doesnt even play in the same league as morrowind! its boring as **** and face it fanboy it want be finished not in three years not in six years ,not ever!

HAHAHA, DL is not morrowind, tes3, or dungeon lords, or any other game. DL's technology is ahead of the released product, and will grow by leaps and bounds in the coming weeks.
Think of the thousands and thousands of gamers you never hear from because maybe they know something you don't and they are too busy playing this fine fine game!!!
It's like starving parents with sick kids, but you see them time and time again going into a liquer store or coming out of a grocery store with chips and pop!
I'm sure that lots of gamers have several vices. If you would just give up some of those vices, invest in a GOOD computer (specifically for gaming), and learn about what goes on inside the box, instead of just the on/off button outside, you would rarely complain.
So who do you think a game producer listens to mostly.... the few hundred who always complain, or the many thousands who really enjoy the game???

I love Morrowind - but I agree with this post. People need to keep perspective even though I do find DL so freakin' unfinished it's a disgrace.
However, MW didn't have a journal (and God knows that game needed one - I had a notebook full of notes) and had bugs....
I would argue a bit that it also had enormous content that wasn't bugged and allowed you to adventure/explore.... and the world was actually finished (lol... a claim DL cannot make)....
But, who knows? In 3 years, DL may have turned into a good game.

Um, did you go to the liquOr store before posting? This is easily one of the most inane posts I've read.....
Oh and you are full of sh*t about the gross generalization about "starving parents" etc. Some do, some are amazing parents under adverse circumstance...
It's always nice to have a "senior member" post utter crap.

you dont get it am i right ? dl is a unfinished buggy piece of crap and there is nothing that can change it not in weeks or years. and i dont think mutch people will buy it considering the reviews and the general response ,that means the publisher will abandon this game soon ,why should they invest more money in a crappy game noone buys ?
if you ask me you must be really stupid too say sutch **** or more likely you are spammer paid from the game company to hype the game in forums (many companys do that)
and infact the technology you call ahead of its time.
is based on a more than 5 year old engine and thats not what i would call ahead of its time!

so, you're saying that they wrote on the box that there aren't any mountables, arctic areas, caves, char customization, automap, NPC's with whoom you can interact with and other stuff ?
And you trying to convince us that this is ok?
Sorry, but it seems that you are living in a different dimension and the rest of the population in murky reallity where games come out unfinished

Rank is based on post count, nothing else ... take that for whatever you would like ;)
You guys know I enjoyed DL, but I am not unrealistic about the issues.
The question that had plagued me while playing Dungeon Lords was:
" If every issue were resolved, if the towns were fleshed out a bit, if the journal issues were resolved, and the bugs taken care of, what would the score be then?"
And I come up with ~80%.
Of course, that could be higher as the game could be seriously retooled, filled with interesting NPC's and 'real' side-quests, the Journal replaced, and other new things added in a 'Plus' style add-on, but that is outside the scope of my basic question.
But seriously - this thread was about playing other stuff, not a Morrowind vs. Dungeon Lords vs. whatever 'urination contest'.
I'm playing Nox (got it on eBay) on the PC and Untold Legends on the PSP now ... and finishing my DL review for the site I write for.
