I tried playing dungeon lords lately on Gamespy, but it seems to be like 10x more laggy as ever. Anyone else having problems?

I have no ability to do LAN co-op, and I failed either in fact or essence everytime I tried multiplayer co-op over the internet. So for my review I had to call multiplayer 'not functional'.

... and although I'm not big into multiplayer, this was on the two computers I played Guild Wars, and recently also some Jedi Knight II and Soldier of Fortune II multiplayer ... all without any issues.

I played Internet, Direct Connect IP with my brother and friend...
We played 3 people and had NO LAGS ... ...

Maybe because we have 100Mbits ?...

I have a T3 from work, and a decent DSL net connection at home ... perhaps it is because of the difference between Direct Connect and GameSpy?

I tried Direct Connect, wouldn't do anything. I typed in ip
"24.255.55.55" and it didn't let me connect. That is a fake IP btw, I typed the real one in the direct connect menu.

I cant join that IP... Is it correct or what ?

My friend has 8Mbits down and 1 Mbits UP, but we didnt have any Probs...BUT
When a FRIEND from Paris wanted to Join, he couldnt because MY friend here has joined... IF my friend from here joined first then my Friend from Paris couldnt join...
Sorta like ONLY one of them could Join ?... Dang strange... Never seen that in a game before...

while i can't say i've tested mulit via gamespy a ton, i've hopped on maybe a half a dozen times with mixed results. sometimes real smooth, sometimes real laggy to the point of unplayable. my guess is that it has to do with the setup and physical location of the players that join up together. the closer and/or more compatible (e.g. similar connection speeds), the better. in any case, the multi/network code certainly seems to be one of the items on DL's "con" list, imo. which, to echo a theme, is a shame. it's p*ss-loads of fun playing multi when it's working...
