Just saw the release at RPGDot (http://www.rpgdot.com/#39224), stating that they are pushing the release back to July 1st to allow for patching to 'polish up' the game.

dtp are still planning to release in Germany tomorrow.

Yeap I just saw this too. I actually wasn't aware that the game wasn't released yet in the UK. Seems like they made us North Americans the beta testers. Too bad they hadn't pushed the NA release back as well. Heh. I'm peeved. Gonna go get a beer.

I guess it is payback for games like 'Restricted Area' or 'The Fall' which have been out in Europe for months and getting all sorts of patches and are just coming now to the US.

Mike I suppose. ;) I don't even want those game tho. Now if they put Conan: The Dark Axe out over here I'll be happy. Unless they did that already and I missed it somehow. :/

not to be too deperate here, but this is a bit of silver lining to the whole mess. If they manage to get a few more things fixed before release in the UK, it may help sales enough to keep them going with patches for a while. Slim chance, i know, but better than none. :)

Yeah I suppose so. I keep hoping to see that 1.2 patch soon so they can get onto 1.3. **** it would be awesome if they suddenly appeared with version 2.0 and some cake. :p

Release in the EU at the moment is plain suicide, european customers are now well aware of the scam this game is, and even with minor polishing the game will be far from being worth full price.

Now if they release it directly to the bargain bin nobody will feel cheated and the game may in fact be able to sell some copies.

At the least the UK publisher is showing responsibility and respect for gamers in that he is refusing to release such a buggy game. I can only say:
APPLAUSE

I highly recommend that no one buys DL in Europe until there is either a completed product or **** freezes over. We in America have been given a truly incomplete and poor product. Buyers be warned when considering purchasing DL.

I agree with the previous poster - a publisher taking some responsibilty and protecting their customers and thier own business arses.

Because its a complete incomplete travesty. I'm sure they wouldn't want to make the same mistake in europe.
