During the installing when it wants the serial number it tells me "wrong serial number". what gives here?

Your question has a pretty old date, but if you still need an answer: The correct serial number is on the back of your instruction manual in the white box. Mine has capital letters and numbers with dashes in between the groups of characters. If you've already figured this out and have played the game, can you let me know how to access a locked door with a control panel. I can't figure out how to conect to a panel and use the universal cyber link to break the code and open the door. I'm stuck in the first level after I sniped everybody and am attempting to rescue my fellow mercenary.

It's actually called Chrome over here, but it's the same game. Great game, tough in places, but only check the walkthrough when you are reaaallly stuck, otherwise it'll kill the mystery of it for you. Good luck.
