Ok i see that the first and only thing people blame or say is the caus of a conection problem is the firewall now i can't get a LAN, IP or a gamespy multi-player game going. now every time i ask for help and even if i tell people that i took down my firewalls in ALL computers i still get every one telling me to turn off my firewalls. now i have NO problem playing every game on my shelf (over 150 pc games) on and/or through gamespy except D.L. And before any one trys to tell me to change this or that. just to let you know i have tried every thing that was told to me and more. even formating and installing every thing back on my computer with no firewalls. still i can't see a hosted game on any of my coputers. and port forwording on my gatway DSL don't help eather.
So my theary is that some of us got a game that won't let us play multiplayer yet oh well hope the next patch well fix it
If any thinks thay can salve my can't play a multiplayer game fill free to comment on a fix

I can only tell you my experience. I use ZoneAlarm and I had to make sure the IP 'range' I was using was in the "trusted zone" before it would let me connect. I have played other LAN games and not had that problem, so I'm not sure, technically, why -but it worked after I entered the IP 'range'.
