How in the WORLD do you finish the Saddle Up game? I'm at the end - where you have to solve the puzzle with the wheel, and I CANNOT finish! My sister got the game for her birthday, and she is SO frustrated!!! Can somebody PLEASE help me?

I am having trouble getting out of the stable! It just keeps saying that I haven't finished grooming the horse. I have completed all icons. THere are 2 icons (the cross and the horseshoe) that do not allow me to do anything...is that the problem???

Any help would be helpful!

Well, step one for getting a solution would involve not posting in the Universal combat forum.

APARANTLY...you are supposed to drag the hoof-pick up and down up to 14 times. Not down and up, up and down on the right side of the hoof until a cloud of dust appears. I am also having major issues with this part of the program, but i just found that hint while searching around the internet today. Hopefully it works for you...as well as myself. If anyone else knows anything else about cleaning the hooves, please help!

It isn't because of the two icons that won't allow you to do anything...its because it is frustratingly difficult to actually get the horses hooves clean. I thought the same as you when i left the barn. It turns out that you APARANTLY have to drag the hoof-pick up and down about 14 times until you see a cloud of dust appear. "Mattheiu" SHOULD say something to you when you are finished the horses hooves, and the white flash that you got when you finished all the other cleaning options with the horse should happen too. I haven't managed to get that to work yet, but it was a hint i picked up today while i was searching the net for game hints for this game. Try dragging up and down not down and up. I have tried doing it down and up and nothing happens....try doing it up and down to start. Hopefully that helps you out!

If I could get past the hoof-pick part I would help you out. But I can't...how did you manage to clean the horses hooves? This is a huge issue, I can't get out of the barn because I can't manage to pick the horses hooves...Help me?? :o

Ok, first access TACOPS, then zoom in on the hooves and target them. Exit TACOPS, access the crew menu and order at least one of your marines to "prep for combat". Go grab a cup of coffee. When the MO tells you they are ready, access that marine through the crew menu then give the order to "clean hooves".

Oh, and if you still have problems go here http://www.3000ad.com, register your game and post your questions.

We had the same problem with the grooming. The horse's hooves couldn't get cleaned completely. We called the support phone number and found out we needed a newer video card for 3-D games. It's called MSI FX5200. It cost us about $100. Later we found out we needed to download Direct X9 which was free off of the internet. We are able to clean the hooves fine now and it goes quickly. Our advice is to try to see if the free download works before buying a new video card. We may have wasted money, but maybe you'll be able to save some. Hope this helps!

Wrong forum guys... Is there not a General [Universal Combat] tag on the top for your page? That might be a clue.

The problem is that you need Direct X9 in order to clean the hooves and perhaps a new 3-D card. Try the Direct X9 by a free download first. We had our computer people put in a new 3-D card, MSI FX5200, which cost ~$100. Then we still had to download the Direct X9, so we don't know if we ever really needed FX5200, but it will be useful later as programs get better graphics. Anyways, afterwards we were able to clean the hooves fine every time. You shouldn't have to be scraping the hooves forever and get nowhere. You can also call the help number located in the back of the instruction booklet. That is how we started. Best of luck!

Direct X9 has nothing to do with it...at least on my computer. I have a Windows XP. I already installed Direct X9, and it still doesn't work for me. And going up and down or down and up makes no difference....
