This is one of my fave places in the game, heading towards the end of the Rebellion level where I take a break from all the rocket launching, monster mashing, Humvee racing, jungle creeping madness, and just take a nice peacefull glider ride,....well,...almost.;)

(This is done with a custom 2.7Mbps compression profile, so you can select the 800 setting on the Putfile viewer and see it very well in large format, probably even full screen if you download it.)

Pretty cool.

I'd like to see a video of someone getting through the volcano lab level (at the very ending) once without dying... Normal - Midhard difficulty too. Me? I swear to god I died so many times.... Rockets coming from this direction, machine guns from that direction, and trigen just coming up at me everywhere. Me? "Shhhit!"

I'm not sure if this is related to it but has anyone seen the trailer of Far Cry Instincts? Or a little show-off one... I think it personally looks nice.

You get to be a trigen don't you? Or get to use it's powers... Looked cool.

When did you attempt to watch it? I take it you were trying to stream it, as you mentioned buffering?

Putfile was doing some server maintenance I think, the first time I tried to upload the video, it wouldn't take. It's possible you tried viewing it shortly after that and they were still doing some kind of maintenance.

Some people have said that they cannot get quick service with Putfile streams, but usually those are peole very far away, like Sys in Hungary. Typically I cannot get his videos to DL very fast either.

I thought you lived in the states though BR, what connection speed do you have?

I suggest right clicking and using Save target As..., then at least you'll see an estimated DL time after the file info is gathered.

The video is a hang glider ride, with some sniping action in it, good luck, let me know if you can manage to watch it.

I used to hate that part of Volcano, when you come out the door, and it closes behind you. I read a walkthrough that helped some, but for the most part I use my own technique that I tried before I read it. You can actually camp to some degree in that area, you just have to use the Leningrad "don't let them see you technique".

Sounds like it would be cool if you could be a Trigen, especially if you could jump way high like they do, and maybe even have enhanced vision and bullet resistence. To tell you the truth, I was expecting something like that in the original game when you find out Jack is infected, but was a bit let down when it didn't happen.

The Far Cry forum Ubisoft has is quite diverse, they even have their own Movie Makers forum, that is now up to 3 pages long, with lots of videos made by fans. The only problem is the forum software is weird and hard to use. I have a hard time even figuring out how to respond to posts.

Another problem is that many of the guys submitting videos are using places like YouSendIt to deliver the file to the site, and if you click on the link to the video after the one week pickup window, it's not there to be seen.

You might like some of the videos though, the first one I watched was pretty good, and done in medium and high quality versions. They have strict forum rules on behavior and obsenities, but the video had lots of rock music in it with cussing going on, so I'm not sure they really monitor it that closely.

I've yet to check for responses, I submitted this same video over there.

It's a console game... So basicly a sequal, but not for PC I don't think.

You did guess the things you get to do though... Enhanced vision, running fast and jumping too (I believe, pouncing maybe) also using your claws.

I just rerad that Far Cry 2 is going to made by Ubisoft, and not Crytek, so I don't know if it will bother me if they don't have a PC version.

...That tends to sound like you're implying I'm just posting to be posting most of the time, rather than contributing.

A high percentage of them are either help offered, videos submitted, or replies to those thanking me for help, videos, etc, so they're not exactly overzealous offerings.

I've only recently even started posting in the OT section too, so most of mine are on topic.

It's also ironic how this was brought up by me responding to your boasting about how many posts you have made, and now you act as if the number were no big deal? Well right, Pain, it's not the quantity, it's the contribution that counts, and I'll stack mine up against anyone's here.
