Myself and a friend have been working our way through the great game Dungeon Lords. So far we've put around 20 hours into our multiplayer characters, this was all thrown away when the client PC reset... His character was lost as we hadn't saved in about an hour. This is a great game, but really, the character saving system is a little like a freeware game rather than a proffesional product... Play a game such as Dungeon Siege, Diablo... with worlds this large you need a slightly better saving system. Perhaps auto-save every 5 minutes (on both machines, not just the host), or something similar. This may sound like a rant, but when you pay for a product, and then put so much time into using it... it shouldn't fail that simply.

You brought up a good point. If they can't do any better than the way this game was released, maybe Heuristic Park should go the shareware route in the future. At least they wouldn't be forced to release broken games like this again with tons of missing content. Maybe DW Bradley should hook up with WildTangent. Using their little engine thingy, maybe he could crank out games faster than one every 5 years and still keep a decent quality.
